AnnaLibert 0 Report post Posted yesterday at 05:42 PM Has anyone come across a thoughtful resource on the challenges and opportunities facing the next generation of mining projects? I’d love something practical rather than pure industry hype. A friend once told me his company lost a promising project because financing arrived too late, and it showed me how much timing matters alongside geology. kiraaa23 4 Report post Posted yesterday at 06:25 PM Financing timing is brutal in this industry, honestly maybe worse than the geology itself. I remember a junior explorer I followed years back, they had a genuinely good copper find, drilled it right, permits mostly lined up, but the market dipped right when they needed a raise and investors just vanished for 18 months. By the time capital came back around someone else had swooped the ground. Reports mention average lead times pushing close to 18 years now from discovery to production, so the window where financing, permitting, and market appetite all line up is smaller than people think. Not much "hype" reading fixes that, it's more about following people who've actually sat through project cycles. I found learn more useful for that kind of practical, been-there perspective rather than the usual glossy industry outlook pieces.
