AnnaLibert 0 Report post Posted September 23 We’re renovating an upstairs bedroom and there’s a small French door overlooking the garden that currently opens onto nothing but a plain wall rail. I’d love to replace it with a glass Juliet balcony to make the room feel more open without building a full balcony. Has anyone had one fitted recently and can recommend a company that does neat, secure installations?
kiraaa23 4 Report post Posted September 23 We did exactly this in our loft conversion last year old French door opened onto a blank wall and the room felt boxed in. Swapped it for a glass Juliet balcony and it’s transformed the space; way more light and that “balcony vibe” without the planning headache. Went with Juliet balconies after seeing a local install they’d done. Fitters were proper careful with the fixings - even showed us the load test certs before drilling, which felt reassuring. Silly story: our toddler tried to “climb” it the first week like it was a jungle gym . A year on and zero issues - still looks sleek, no rattles, and the room feels twice as big. Definitely get a few quotes though; prices vary loads for similar specs.
