Hi Kelvin

How about cornice around the recess area in the living room?

Can you visualise it?

What you think?

HAPPY

It's FREE :sport-smiley-004:

made of cornice and I like the mid-air look of it... wait till it's painted, even nicer :dancingqueen:

Hi Kelvin

Thanks!:sport-smiley-004:

But my tv will not be mounted on the wall.

I will just buy a simple tv console or bring my old tv console over to my new house.

The cornice will be the same width as the recess area and all around it.

Then print a darker tone colour and the inner wall will be much lighter colour.

You get what I mean?

Thanks!:dancingqueen:!

Inner wall: nothing.

The edges will have cornice and the cornice will paint eg) dark brown.

The inner wall will be light brown.

Then the tv console will be in front.

Sound strange and funny??

the black circle is the cable TV wire :yamseng: the center "hole" is also cornice, not a wall... thus the cables are hidden behind it

hmm a bit puzzled liao.. if the centre hole is also cornice.. then can that cornice handle the drilling of ur tv bracket... and the weight of the tv.. tot u have to do a false wall with reinforcment to mount the tv..

Gas pipes laid...

f_gaspipem_8d8b31a.jpg

The piping behind the fridge area, will it be affect by the heat dissipated from a fridge being positioned in front of it?

there'll be some wood in the "hole" for mounting the TV :P

a lot of effort by Kenny to do this for me... and it's free :P

my ID did not raise this issue with me... just hope nothing will go wrong. i don't think fridges nowadays are that hot, at least my current one isn't

Okay, thanks for the tip. Linggie and I were discusing about it earlier and the heat from the fridge crossed my mind. But it would really save us having to do up a tall cabinet to hide the gas pipes then.
