Hi gosaldar, may I ask where did you buy your Panasonic NRD511x fridge? Am going to buy this one too and your price is much cheaper than in Harvey Norman. :good:

By "best" means by technical specification.

If I need to draw handphone analogy, I don't think Vertu is the "best" phone, although it is freaking expensive. Vertu lack lots of features of modern mobile phone.

However, it is true that in general good stuff comes with higher price tag :)

Maybe when u mean "best" is "best deal". The list I make is not a "best deal" list. For example, I don't think De-Dietrich is "best deal". Their sister product Brandt is a better deal for the dollar spent. In practice, I will go for "best deal" stuff, but it is nice to have "the best" list handy :)

by best you mean most expensive?

disagree with most leh :dunno:

Yes, it is a lot cheaper. Clementi Electronic Centre.

guess all of us have our own 'best' brand in mind

i.e. product that suit our lifestyle the most

difficult to finger a best for everyone as everyone's needs are different

just to share some of my personal favourite, maybe you want to check them out as well :notti:

1. tv - pioneer plasma

2. washer - brandt/thomson slim top load

3. hob - turbo

4. knife - kyocera

5. fridge with freezer - ariston

6. fridge w/out freezer - F&P :yamseng:

The ceramic knife? I love it to cut fruit. But can't really use it for meat stuff, it chip off quite easily.

I kinda regret buying their santoku. But love their utility knife :)

4. knife - kyocera

serious? i've read that it cuts through things really smoothly

in fact, there are already 'imitations' in the market liao

one day must buy one and try, now no money to try leh

didn't find zwilling good coz the knives blunt very fast

cut a few times got to sharpen liao :dunno:

yes, I guess people preferences are different. For example (brand aside) I prefer LCD compared to Plasma. I prefer front-load washer compared to top-load. I prefer Induction hob compared to gas.

Cheers :yamseng:

yah i prefer plasma to LCD, gas to induction

but the brandt/thomson machine's drum spins front-load style

it's just the loading is done from the top :notti: :notti:

some of the stuff is worth going for the best

coz you are unlikely to change it within a few years

this is one lesson i've learnt from my reno

didn't have a big budget so went for the best deal

in the end regret everyday coz will see the 'compromise' for the next few years :~ :~

Oh... that type. Yes, it's quite interesting. But since, my service balcony is kinda small, hence I look for something that can be stacked.
