When my good friend had her house made, they hacked a wall wrongly and now the opening to the storeroom is from her bedroom. But overall the parents were still quite happy with the company...

When I compare their home and the showroom, there really was some difference.

I always feel that looking at their real projects is far better than going to some showrooms. In a showroom they'll always show you the best but it may not be what they are going to give you anyway.

Wonder if anyone here had engaged * service lately? Any valuable experience to share? We are very tempted to sign up with them for the reno of our new flat at Fernvale. The package price + all the free gifts seems attractive leh but wonder how is their workmanship lately. Appreciate all feedback. Thank you. :rolleyes:

Mi too very tempting to sign up....package price + all the free gifts.

But wonder how the workmanship....... ;)

I went down to * recently and got a quotation from them. Their price seems quite reasonable. Does anyone have any feedback on this company, and the ID Johnny?

I visited NW @ TradeHub two months back and was served by Eagle. Eagle speaks mostly mandarin although he can understand my wife's English.

Overall we are impressed with him, he is knowledgeable (except for laminated floor), non-pushy and has been following up with phone calls ever since.

As I am still waiting for more quotations, I have not decided if I will go with NW. Their prices is average compared with the other quotations I have, so the chance of getting them is also average.

We talked to her and so far she seemed alright...we are now waiting for the quotation.

Saw their ads on the newspaper . Tot that "wah so many free thing and so cheap" . But comment given here doesn't seem to be that case

Went to NW two days ago and Titan from NW was attending to a couple around 9pm. He said all staff had left and gave me his name card and said he will call me the next day. Instead he passed my floorplan to a female colleague of his who called but didn't leave a voice mail when I missed the call. Subsequently when I managed to speak to her, she couldn't accomodate to my schedule and proposed a meeting a week later. Basically a couldn't care less attitude.

Since there is a post now discussing about NW, I would also like to comment about my displeasure on them. I spoke to a lady as well. Basically aft discussion at her office, she never even bothered to come back to me. What kind of attitude is this? Is this NW so great that they can afford to cherry pick their customers? If yes, then I hope you get a reality check soon. If this is confined to the lady's boh chap attitude, hope NW wake up before this lady ruin their business and reputation.

yes i agree with ncy. i had a voice mail and the lady from NW refused to leave voice messages. She didn't sms either. Given such initial attitude, imgaine how disatrous ur reno might be?

hi guys. i am using * currently and i have one advise: KEEP A **** GOOD EYE ON EVERY BIT OF THEIR WORKS, AND DON'T PAY THEM TILL THEY'VE COMPLETED EVERYTHING TO YOUR SATISFACTION!!!

the workmanship we got was VERY SHODDY. so shoddy that i had a 5 PAGE DEFECT LIST that my ID is going through. The worst part is that the ID feels affronted when we put additions to the defect list & told us that the reno will not be done on time if the defect list keeps expanding!!

Here are a list of my grouses with them (ane believe me-there are MORE)

1) Our reno is already more than 3 wks late. We've were promised 6 wks, and we are currently on our 10th wk. And it's always the same thing- 'by next sat, by next sat'. I don't care WHEN it's done, I just want you to have the INTEGRITY TO DO IT WHEN YOU SAY IT WILL BE DONE!!

2) There was so much bad work that we had a 5 page defect list in our home! The ID we had actually insinuated that we were being demanding in having a 5 page defect list. (We typed out all the defects & tagged them with tape all around our hse). But come on, if there weren't so many cracked tiles, holes in grouting, cracked aircon trunking, holes in electrical casing, and stained walls, would any home owner bother to be picky?!?!? FURTHERMORE, an ID is SUPPOSED to LOOK OUT for the customer, and make sure these defects DO NOT HAPPEN! OTHERWISE WHY WOULD I WANT TO GET AN ID?!?!?!? I WOULD JUST GET A CONTRACTER SO THAT I CAN SAVE THE MONEY AND HAVE A SIMILAR AMOUNT OF HEADACHE RIGHT!??!?!?

3) I got an ANGRY call from my neighbour downstairs because apparantly the workers who clean the house just THROW DIRTY WATER OUT OF THE WINDOW- A FEW TIMES THIS MONTH!!! When my bf called the ID to tell give him an earful & tell him to make sure it doesnt happen again- he said that my bf was WRONGFULLY ACCUSING HIS WORKERS & that the water they threw out the window was CLEAN, and just quickly disconnected the line when my bf wanted to say more!!! HOW RUDE IS THAT?!?!?! AND COME OFF IT- you think i was born yesterday and think that your workers suka-suka just fill a pail of CLEAN water to THROW OUT MY WINDOW?!?!?!?!

4) Everytime we point out a defect to the ID he will say the same thing: 'if you want, i will change it for you loh'. and that is usually followed with a fake laugh. MACHAM YOU ARE DOING ME A FAVOUR?!?!? COME ON NOW- I PAID FOR IT TO BE DONE PROPERLY. IT IS NOT *'S FIRST DAY ON THE JOB, SO WHY ARE THERE SO MANY DEFECTS IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?! FURTHERMORE, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT CORRECTING DEFECTS ARE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE DOING ANYWAY!!!!

5) The solid surface we chose for our vanity was the WRONG COLOUR- apparantly because '2007 colour different from 2008 colour', and my ID- the person who's supposed to be DEALING WITH ALL THESE, asked the solid surface supplier to call me. The solid surface supplier called me, and said they DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG because it was the RIGHT COLOUR CODE THAT WAS GIVEN TO THEM, and that it shouldn't matter because the COLOUR WAS ALMOST THE SAME. Again. I WAS NOT BORN YESTERDAY and I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SANDY AND **** BROWN!! After raising my voice at him, they finally decided to change the solid surface for me.

for those who already signed with this company, pls pls pls take pictures & samples of everything you choose so that you have proof, and keep an eye on the work done. I don't know if my ID with * is gonna wake up his idea anytime soon but am prepared to have to be demanding to get what should be done done. am starting to do research on CASE & HDB complaints already to get to know what my options are if they give me more grief. hope you don't have the same experience that I do.

I have just signed with them and currently having some problem of one of their ID R** L***. Would you be able to advice me on how you finally settle with them? Was CASE and HDB able to help in anyway?

I'm engaging NW now... Too bad, i just read your reviews about them (now)..

Actually, I encounter some problem with them too. Still try to solve it.

Now what i can do is to keep my finger cross, hope everything ok with our flat.

Btw pls dont go with "free things".

I reject their free give and managed to buy same brand items with cheaper price.

I had a nightmare using north west ID johny...unprofessional and behave like gangster once you are in his pocket. i will never recommend north west for any one

I am considering to engage Johnson from NW.

So far his attitude and service are good,

and his quote is one of the lowest with almost all the items we want. Less than 28k for overhaul a 4A resale flat.

My hubby and I have tight budget,

we plan to go ahead with Johnson after visit one of his projects next week if we're satisfied with the workmanship.
