Need Advice On Kitchen Cabinet Contractors/ Id Firm

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I am thinking of reno-ing my kitchen and have contemplated a few options. To go with an kitchen specialist (option that comes with the highest px tag so far), with an ID firm (mid- range px), or through Ikea (with installation done by Ikea and it is the cheapest option so far).

Have spoken to Song-Cho, Ernest Interior/Kitchen Studio and Fuse Concept for my kitchen needs. These firms all have their strengths in their proposal but I do have a budget to work. But, although budget may be an issue, I am open to paying more if I am getting value for money good grade cabinets.

Ikea offers a 25-yr warranty on their cabinets but I know that their cabinets are made of particleboards and not sure how they stand up to the humidity of Sg. Are their cabinets really that good for a firm to offer a 25 yr warranty. Most firms are willing to offer a 1 -2 yr warranty on their cabinets.

Would welcome any thoughts on any of the above options.

Thanks a bunch!! :yamseng:

I'm also looking at the same thing... separating my stuff to different contractors... currently trying to see if there's any reliable carpenter to take the job since it's pretty easy.

Hey Thanks for the contacts!!! I have contacted classicideas/Elvani Cucine and the px quoted is higher than what my ID id offering. But the slight diff is that Elvani is offering some in-built baskets that my ID is not. Both offering me blum soft hinges and same finishing....

Hi, if your are still interested in engaging the services of an ID then you might want to give my designer a call. Its probably best to use a firm that has an extensive portfolio of clients and I know they've had many notable residential projects and commercial clients like Parkway Health and The Concourse. You can email Anna at deluxebydesign@hotmail.com for more info on quotes, company showroom and portfolio. Hope this helps!
