Is It True That The Installation Of A 2nd Water Heater In Hdb Flat Need Hdb Approval?

By right Yes, esp if you're getting them to do the wiring inspection.

By left No, can't remember what specifics, but it's safety concern.

thought most hdb flats will have 2 water heater for those instant ones?

unless you are thinking of 2 heaters in one toilet :dunno:

Ok, I remember how it goes.

There can be 2 heaters, but one of which must be the 3 pin plug type instead of the switch with red light.

If want both heaters to have switch with red light, it's not approved.

Wow! You mean hdb won't even approve if both heaters are switch with red light type?

Yes, that's what my contractor says, but I can't remember the exact reason for that.

If one of them a switch with a redlight, then the other must be a 3pin plug.

Especially valid if you are getting PUB to go thru the wiring checks (optional)

If there are no checks, then no issue.
