Dear Tiramisu,

You basically need two holes on the feature wall. Roughly around 80~100mm in diameter. One is located behind the TV location, and the other one is behind the tv console. I am not really sure on your TV console design.. Since you were saying that you might want to change the TV Console over the years, is it detachable?

Anyway... whether its attached or detached, both options of the TV console should have a hole in order for ure TV cables to be plugged into wutever electronics equips you have. It would be nice if you buy the TV console with an opening for cables, then you just need to adjust the location where to create a hole on the feature wall to match. If your TV console doesn't have any hole for cables, the un-obvious way to do is to create a hole as big as 80~100mm behind the TV console, which connects to the hole on the feature wall.

Hope it helps. Take care and have a nice day =)

Btw.. I love tiramisu :P

Hi actually don understand why u wan to build a feature wall when u don want the TV cosole? since u do not wan to build the TV console, might as well deco the wall enough already rather than build a feature wall plus put a TV console?

off-the-shelf tv console would already have holes pre-drilled for you. As for feature wall, those carpentry guys will normally know what size of hole to drill. Seriously 80-100mm (8-10cm!!) is way too big.

And ya, doing a feature wall without a matching TV console is totally weird. Then u'll have to scratch your head over buying a matching colour + length TV console. And also now u already see the next headache: how to hide the wires. (pple do feature wall purpose is to hide the wires)

Hmm. 80~100 is not way too big, because there are various tv's cables.. Some are thick some are thin.. Those good quality wires are pretty thick. plus.. need to consider how your hand sometimes need to pull it from the other side.. if its smaller then 80mm its quite difficult.

It would be nice if the feature wall are customised together with the TV console. However, as long as both TV console and the feature wall match, then that's all right =)

Hope it helps, take care and have a nice day.

Sorry Tiramisu for the late reply.

How's ure TV console by the way?

The answer for SCV location below;

Try not to change the position of your tv console/tv feature wall so much especially with your TV attached onto it. SCV normally located on the wall provided by the developer itself, or HDB. Unless you are planning to move it to somewhere else.

Best location for scv will be behind your TV console.

In order to make the whole tv console looks clean and neat, try to put all the sockets behind the tv console, however you will need to have an access from the front part of your tv console towards behind (wall side).

Hope it helps, and take care =)
