Led Downlight For Whole House -anyone?

Recommended Posts

Here's a glimpse of the LED lighting effect in one of the common bedroom:

sony%20backup%20nov%202009%20263.jpg

i reckon if the walls were white, it would be even more brighter.... because of the odd corners in this room, i installed 7 sets of LED, each set comes with 3 MR16 bulb, each bulb is 3w.

total power consumptions when all LED lights are on: 63watts

if i were to use normal downlight: 182watts (if i use 13watts tubex2x7points) or 224watts (if i used 16 watts tubex2x7points)

You can go Ikea and take a look. There is one that cost $35, where the fixture uses 3 sets of E27 CF light bulbs. The fixture looks like a normal circular fluorscent 40W type, but inside it is using E27 screw type light bulbs. Note: light bulbs are not include in the $35.

Hi..yr first picture is MR16 3W...is it bright enough for you?

Yr 2nd picture should be using PAR30 bulb, 7W.

What colors will you be using..warm white ? We can supply both bulbs but you need to get the housing yourself.

Please message me if you are interested.

Hi Gensemi,

What is the brand of LED light are you carrying? Where is it made?

what kind of led lighting is recommended for hdb?

Hi Rock,

I felt something in E27 or B22 base will be better, as it allows you to switch back to CF bulbs. If you have problem with the bulb or you need to sell your house, you can easily replace them. For other base of LED light, I observed it requires modifying of the cabling or adapters. It will mean if you switch to those bases for LED to switch back to the original or something not LED, it may required rewiring.
