I just receive a quotation from a renovation contractor. Please kindly assist me on the costs and suggestions or ideas on my renovation.

Type of Flat: 4A, 104sqm (abt 20+ yrs old flat) so basically need to overhual the whole house.

Please advise.

A. Dismantle/Demolition and Disposal

1. Supply labour and tools to hack off existing floor tiles, wall tiles and clear debris ~$2,600

B. Living room, 3 bedrooms & 1 storage room

1. Supply & lay 600x600mm China homogenous tiles c/w skirting finish ~$4,300

2. Supply & install sliding aluminum window to all window ~$2,200

3. Supply & install 2. nos of aluminum grills to all window ~$1,280

4. Supply & install 1 to 3 air-con (Normal Panasonic) ~$1,950

5. Supply and install normal cornice to whole house c/w some false ceiling ~$950

6. Supply and install 1 no. of wrought iron gate ~$450

7. Supply and install 3 nos. of solid design door for 3 bedrooms ~$840

8. Supply & install 1 no. of solid design main door ~$420

9. Supply & install full height laminated wardrobe in one of the common room c/w ~$1,050

10. Supply & install full height laminated wardrobe in mater bedroom c/w ABS trimming ~$2,100

(Do not intend to have intense cooking at home so not considering have wall tiles

for the whole kitchen area. So instead of having full area of wall tiles, we will seek

for cheaper way which is to plaster half of the kitchen wall)

3. Supply & lay ceramic floor tiles ~$1,400

4. Supply & lay water proofing ~$200

5. Supply & install upper and lower laminated kitchen cabinet with ABS trimming finishing ~$2,400

(20ft by design) c/w laminated works top

{Is it advisable to have laminated works top or solid top????}

Mine is consider expensive for 84sqm flat.. but my s/s rubbish chute was given free

Take note of the following :

* Electrical Points

* Your toilets, they only supply labour.. seems like you have to make yr own purchase on the wc, vanity and stuffs

* Supply & construct kitchen sink support c/w tiles finish (6ft) ~$680 (MIne was SGD300)

for others.. u can compare with my reno qoutes..

4 rm only need 39k=??????? & only half a kitchen wall -.-, window abit expensive, kitchen cabinet is better with a solid surface top around 70-75 per feet run, its better to use aluminium sliding door for wardrobe just a bit more only, painting is 1250, make sure he do a nice job with such a price( 6 colour at least )

1) cabinets is quite reasonable ... swingdoor i supposed.

2) kitchen cabinet can try to ask for $100/ft

3) boxing up of sewage pipe is $600 ? what materials ?

4)ICI paint for 4 rm = try $1100

5)s/s pipes = $700

6) electrical .... u can prepare $3500
