Help Needed For Kitchen Floor Tiles & Cabinet

Dear Gurus,

As I'm a newbie here, I need someone to recommend a good contractor with extreme low budget for a new kitchen tiles and kitchen cabinet for a 3 rooms flat.

I'll be moving by end of next month.

Can anyone advice roughly how much will it costs? Looking for a contractor which can provide loan with monthly installations.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

Received the quotation from few vendors, kindly help to advice....

1. Package 1

- To do the hacking for the old tiles and install the new tiles for kitchen floor $1500

- Kitchen cabinet, $110 per sqf. If 20ft will be 16x2(upper and lower)x$110=$3520

- Install solid surface top for kitchen cabinet $500

- Dismantle old cabinet $300

- Target completion date - 1 month

- Total $5820

2. Package 2

- To do the hacking for the old tiles and install the new tiles for kitchen floor $2350

- Kitchen cabinet, $90 per sqf. If 20ft will be 16x2(upper and lower)x$90=$2880

- Install solid surface top for kitchen cabinet, FREE

- Dismantle old cabinet $200

- Target completion date - 2 weeks

- Total = $5430

Can any expert kindly comment is it worth?

Hi, that's just the estimated quotations only, I'll only be available for them to quote after I get the key next month.

Hi According to the contractor the free top surface is just the usual post form.

Usually, if renovate kitchen, if they hack away your kitchen wall tiles, the water pipes and gas pipes might have to go too.

Things u need to factor into your kitchen for additional costs:-

1) Hood and stove

2) Kitchen sink and tap

3) Base for cabinet, fridge, washing machine

4) water and gas pipes

5) installation charges for the above mentioned items

6) charges to clear the debris and haulage

All these will be the additional and hidden costs that some packages did not include. After you signed then they will tell you need to add this and that. Btw, package price inclusive of GST?

Thanks for the great tips! really appreciate it.

The price I got is just the estimated costs only, I'll be only able to get the final quotation once I bring them to the house to inspect after I got the keys next month.

Btw I'll noted down on what u've mentioned, esp GST is the one I always forgot...
