MichaelAng 1 Report post Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) Hi, I was on the verge of placing order for the Phiilip downlights I saw at lightings.com but they were out of stock. I went to a few neighbouring shops to enquire and they told me that digital ballast like those used in philips lightings don't last due to the heat. Old magnetic ballast last longer. Is it true? Any one have feedback regarding the philip downlights? I used the old Osram ones for the last 11 years without having to change but they are starting to flicker a lot more while starting up. Wanted to get the phillips one as the cover is screwed on and seems much easier to change bulbs. Any one?
