  1. So far i done business twice with them. Once for the installation of the door lock and second time was for the purchase of the door remote. I think they are ok. As for IMM one, I had my special door peep hole installed by them. It's good but pay a bit higher price due to more secured warranty and peace of mind. They are expensive also due to having to pay rental.
  2. I think the key thing with anything that uses battery is to change it regularly even if it seems like it is still working. Don't wait till it leaks. Interlock recommended that I change it yearly without fail. Mine still have 8 months to go when the time comes, i will change it w/o a heartbeat. Battery aren't so expensive anymore.
  3. Totts have some nice ones. also SS but cost just a fraction.
  4. I saw them sold at TOTTS as well as Tangs Orchard. Illy Pods type...
  5. oh i install door auto closing devices on both my toilet doors. Bad luck to leave the door open all the time. Thus need the ventilating grille. But cannot find.
  6. Hi, I install in both my toilets. I just realised that in order for this to work well, you actually need a ventilation at the door ie some sort of opening. I would like to know where I can get those ventilation grille for the door so that I can DIY and install them myself. Shouldn't be too hard but I cannot find this grille selling. Anybody know where? Thanks Michael
  7. Hi, just to let you know that you probably need an HDB permit to do this. I didn't know until my contractor applied one for me.

    Window Film

Hi, Firstly, I must state that I have no relation to this shop and do not have any shares in it. I just happened to be a satisfied customer who just had this window film done. I did windows for my 2 rooms + living + study room for a total of $680. I was quoted elsewhere around 1k. The name of this vendor is Solarlight and is run by this couple who also do the instal themselves. It's quite well done and was rather quick. The price range from 2 to 5.50 including installation. I chose the 5.50 one. Is it effective? Well, i have a UV reader and a handheld temperature monitor. Before it reads 1.5 UV and 42degree at my window. Immediately after install at the single panel, UV is zero and temperature dropped to 37. Not too bad. Guess have to monitor. If you guys any interest, you may contact them directly. The couple is Mr Tan and his wife is Karen. Their phone number is 90697099 and 92237758. I don't think they got a shop but the address they gave me is 621 Aljunied Road #04-02 Lipo Factory Building. Let them know that Michael recommended them. Btw, I don't get any commission... just want to share a good lead. Cheers Michael
  9. I did. THe service I received from Andy of IMM was good. The installation was done professionally and the installers were quite nice. I complained of some water condensation one month after install and the person who installed it followed up with me. It's a far cry from the G*** C*** service I received during my last install at my old place.
  10. The normal alluminum type of grilles won't deter any type of burglar to be honest. They are so **** soft... can even bend using bare hand. The main purpose of those is to prevent kids from climbing over it. Installing iron wrought ones are the best but are expensive and unsightly. I installed alarm at all possible windows and doors that has a risk. It wont prevent but once activated, it would give the burglar a good scare and prevent him from doing anything more.
  11. Hi, Just wanted to know if any of you experience half way your ID goes on long leave or quit in the middle of your reno? While I am sure there will be someone taking over, but question is whether we will get the same level of service? Thanks Mike
  12. I'm one of those who specially went down to TANGS to get 2! Didn't realize only available at VIVO and not Orchard. And also I misplaced my receipt. Only realize it upon reaching home. How do I claim warranty if needed? And sorry, is there any free 1st servicing? Thanks Michael
  13. Hi, Just wondering, did you put Alkaline batteries or normal batteries into the remote. If I am not wrong, we should never put alkalines one as they are too strong for the circuits causing the remote to burn quickly.
  14. Hi, I always wanted to have a fire extinguisher in the car but I am told that I should not keep any compressed gas container in the car especially it is is parked in the hot sun. Is your products certified for keeping in hot car? Also, for the home, can your product be wall mounted? Thanks Michael
