Life On A Treehouse

Recommended Posts

hi, me and my partner love what you've done to your place. We are thinking along the same lines. So here's the request.

I hope its not too much to ask but can u take a picture of the kitchen sink and the concrete table thingy that you have built over the washing machine. We might just nick the idea off ya for our stove and sink. :)

Hi duckie bro,

Like yr design very much.

Very home and warm looking, different from the usual clean clear showroom designs but cold looking that everyone else have.. :thumbs up:

I am very interested to do the cement screed flooring for my living/bedrooms like yrs.

After mths of staying, any thing to share with us on such floorings?

Does it stain easily? water/oil..etc

How to maintain? mopping?

Understand u apply a coating...does it help?

Hope u can share with us on yr experiences...

Best is allow me to visit, haha??

Thank you for your generous compliment.

a. It doesn't stain easily as it has been waterproofed

b. maintenance, same as any kind of flooring, vacuum and mop. No polish required

c. A coating is compulsory, and there're alot of different kind of finishing, depending on your preference

I would love to invite everyone to my place, but my fiance thinks that our place's very private and special to us.

Maybe when she's not in town. haha

It's definitely from Tampines Ikea.

But I'm not sure which section, as it's either a magazine or a lid rack.

Location: Tampines 3 room flat, resale

Age of structure: 20+

In a nutshell, we collected keys in may 2010, renovation took 2-3 months.

Complete makeover of the entire house.

Me and my fiance has stayed in the place for almost a month and are lovin' it.

In the next few days or weeks, I'll breakdown all the process and purchases in the subsequent posts of our renovation log.

Meanwhile, enjoy the sweet preview.

hi i love your place. it is really raw and messy in a nice bold way. very hard to find such nice place like yrs. i realised many forumers who claimed they like such design, but the outcome of their house usually turned out very straight lace and boring, cookie cutter as my gf like to call it.

congrats

Hi lynnzip!

I'm looking at your downlights and wondering, is it just L-boxes across the ceiling? Love the 'beams on ceiling' effect! Do you know if one can put woodgrain laminates on false ceiling beams??

Loving your renovation, really special and full of personality!

hi lubber duckie!

i totally love the look of your place. if its your first interior design project, then you truly are talented. haha, can consider doing it full time!

if you don't mind, can you share the contact of the contractor who did up your floors for you?

thanks!
