Thank you for providing the information about the new rules for real estate agents.I have a question regarding with your post if any builder is under housing building development authority then is it necessary for such kind of rules that you have mentioned in it.

may not be good thing.

1) Now agents advertise no commission from tenants, tenants thought that this is good for them and take it as a norm.

There are no one to advise them on the clauses of the Tenancy agreement which is high chance to side with the landlord as only the landlord pays the commission.

During or at the end of the tenancy if there are issues, its at the losing ends of the tenants.

 

2) there are not many agents to serve the tenants, the service standard for tenants will drop tremendously. 

This will creates more complains, more unhappiness for the tenants and the reputation of Singapore is at risk.

 

In the olden days, owners and tenants do their own tenancy agreement without the agents.

Now since most owners engaged property agents, the tenants should be advised to engage their own agents
