Bought the Mistral MPF-99RT4 Fan half year ago in Sept 10 at S$65. Comes with Up(90°)-Down(15°) Oscillation function & 75° left-right Oscillation function.

Really like its remote function where it enables you to turn on the fan without having to reach for it. However, after barely 2 months into using it the remote controller failed. Purchase a few batteries since then for replacement, thinking that it might have been the battery running flat. When it still did not work, I brought the remote controller back to Mistral office to see what can be done about it.

There, I found out that the remote controller is not under warranty and has to pay $18 for a replacement. Just for this controller is definitely not worth the money.

Maintenance is also a little troublesome, Fan blades cannot be remove like the conventional fan for cleaning and there are parts that cannot be reached.

Noise level is higher than some ceiling fan. The fan air flow rate is acceptable if your room is not too large. Personally, if your room is bigger than 3m by 3m you might not want to buy this fan. Unless you are blowing at yourself directly.
