GusRUH 1 Report post Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) Hi members,Recently, my son was trapped in one of the bedroom. The door knob was jammed and unable to turn. I have no choice but to break the door knob and some part of the door.Anyone know an alternative way to repair my door, other than changing it. GusRUH 1 Report post Posted August 14, 2011 My son was trapped since 4.30 pm and managed to come out about 8.15 pm.I managed to knock down the door knob but the bolt cannot be pulled out. I have no choice but to chisel the door to expose it and pulled it out. I tried to push the door but cannot as my door frame is made of metal.Yes, I was panicked as my main intention is to get him out as soon as possible for him to break his fast during this fasting month.To members here, do change the door knob if you found sign and symptom that it is going to give way. I used it since 1996 and am now going to change all the bedroom door knob irregardless whether it is still in working condition.Need some ideas from members with same experienced on what I am going to do with this door.
