How do we find out if the existing tiles are overlaid(2nd layer) on top of the original tiles?

For wall : Can see from the wall thickness where the window is placed. If it's more than 5mm, chances are it's overlay.

For Floor : Can see from the door kurb. if it's more than 50mm, chances are it's overlay.

But still can't guarantee 100% ansewerd ur question unless we hack it off.
