Special Grouting For Ceramic Tiles

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, would appreciate your help on the following question. Thanks

Recently I heard from a colleague that he come across a condo living room ceramic flooring grout lines is extremely smooth and also when you walk on it, you dont feel the gap. Most important thing of all, after 3 years the grout color remains the same.

I try to ask a contractor about this and he quoted me 1200 for redoing the above mention special grout for my living room (around 40 sqm). Anyone has any idea what is so special of this grout and is the cost very ex?

it is not simple job to remove the old grouting, this should be the calculation:

2 workers x 2 days work= $600, to stick masking tap before re-grouting, to apply expensive grouting= $400, $200 for his arrangement with guarantee to your expectation.

Total: $1200.

Ask yourself, will you take the risk to take up this job if you are that contractor?

i don't think there is another contractor who will take up this job, but if you are willing

to DIY, then this is a very expensive quote.- just my 2 cents :dunno:
