Anyone Using Skil Drill?

Recommended Posts

Well I wanted to get myself a powertool for the purpose to drill couple of holes in my new house, either on ceiling, on concrete wall or on beam. I guess I need a hammer drill and I saw from diy shop that Skil 550w hammer drill is going for $69, which is half cheaper than those more realiable brand like bosch or b&d. For the sake of drilling only few holes, i am not planning to invest big in the tool, end up i will probably put it aside for years after these few holes, and i dont want to buy something cheap which is useless. Please dont ask me to borrow as i think it is necessary to have a tool like this at home.

So, the question is, can Skil drill makes it based on my requirement? And bare in mind that i am not heavy user. Thanks.
