normanho23 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2012 Hi all,Due to budget constraint, I am getting contractors to renovate my house instead of getting an ID to sort out all the details for me. I intend to install light box with downlights for all my rooms including living and dining rooms as there will be a ceiling fan for each rooms and I really dun want to get those fans with integrated lights.Questions:My average room size is 3300mm * 3800mm HDB height. I intend to install 6 downlights (2 each along the longer wall and 1 each along the shorter wall). 1. What is the recommended type of lighting that I should get in this case? Is the Philips FBG302 downlight bright enough to illuminate the room? 2. How do I calculate the length for the light box required to go round the room? Is it length (3800) * breath (3300) * 2 = 14200mm (47ft)?
