Amk 3Room - Home Sweet Home

Recommended Posts

Yes.. He and his 2 workers are good.

Bought this floor trap a bit too late, as the waterproofing has been done, can't install it anymore :(

Got it from Heritage Bathroom.

It's a hidden floor trap, as shown at Sohnice's t-blog

http://www.renotalk.com/forum/topic/45539-3-room-hdb/page-11

Bought it at $30 each

Willing to let go at $40 for 2.

Any takers?

Hi Mormor, welcome to the 3-roomers' club and to RT! Njoy ur reno journey! Will be following ur progress & updates so keep them coming! :)

Good leh, got additional utility rm behind (the kitchen?) but u nvr show pic of this part of the kitchen leh. If I got such an additional utility rm, i will hack away my storeroom that comes between my living rm & kitchen. In fact, i hack away the original & re-built it into the kitchen area (my original kitchen like urs very big) to create a bigger living room to house a dining area (used to have dining tabel in kitchen). We still need a storeroom la to keep all the bulky & 'unsightly' stuff.. haha!

Sorry to hear about the sink trap. In the end, what did you use?

Today we managed to tell Uncle Ah Meng in time about our TB sink traps. Size of ours bit smaller but Uncle said can still use. But he now has to raise our bathroom floors cos our sink traps are thicker than those used in Singapore.

Alan is doing re-wiring and plastering work for your place now? How about plumbing? We are trying to figure out what he is doing next for us after tiling.

The extra room is behind the kitchen.

It has the most windows and the best view.

In the end we use the typical floor trap, stainless steel instead of the plastic one.

Alan is doing re-wiring and plastering work for your place now? How about plumbing? We are trying to figure out what he is doing next for us after tiling.

Tiling finished on Monday.

Plastering started on Tuesday, 90% done by end of today.

Rewiring will start tmr after the plastering work.

WC installlation & plumbing will also start tmr.

Might be meeting carpenter this sat.

Wow thanks for sharing your timeline. That will serve as a good guide for us on the things we need to arrange eg aircon installation, WC delivery etc! I hope ours will also go as smooth as yours :)

When are you aiming to move in?

Hi welcome to Club Alanists and the 3-roomers! Haha yesterday the tiler also proposed to us to use the wood tiles for our stairs. 'Wooden' stairs looks awesome right?

spiffy! is it slippery when wet from rain?

We bought the WC and some other accesories from Alan's recommended shop at AMK.

Price is quite similar as those shop at Jalan Besar.

So he'll arrange for the delivery for us.

The auspicious date to move in for us early June.

But we can still let him touch up until end of June.

Haha he never recommended any AMK shop but instead Poh Seng @ Jalan Besar. However we ended up buying from Royal Fanco so we have to coordinate all the deliveries ourselves.

I used the wood tiles for the kitchen floor, it's rough enough.

The corridor in front of my unit is super wide.

Not likely it will get wet from rain.

Same same but I think we have to move in by 31 May. Current lease ends by then. Anyways for carpentry, we are only doing kitchen cabinets with Alan. So he only needs to ensure MBR, bathroom & study room, electrical, plumbing & painting is done by then. Kitchen cabinet & touch-up can be done slowly in June.

His work was very good for my place.
