There are many differences between laminate and vinyl.

Laminate flooring are only plank boards, while vinyl flooring may be sheet or planks; laminate flooring is made of wood materials, while vinyl floor is made of plastic; laminate flooring is installed through click systems, while vinyl flooring is installed either by glue or click system.

Above are obvious differences between those two products. Of course there may be other slight differences for example, vinyl flooring is thinner than laminate flooring, it's elastic, more waterproof and fire resistant.
