Bathroom Renovation

Recommended Posts

1. Any kind soul could advise what is the budgetary cost to renovate a bathroom?

including , changing of floor tiles, replacing toilet bowl, Basin. Installation of a drain pipe from the bath area to the floor trap.

2. currently, there is no drain point at the bath area. the previous owner built a "channel" behind the WC to direct the water to the floor trap. Which I find very dirty, as the water flow to the whole basin area together with "hair".. == I don't if the existing floor can be hacked to cast in a 50mm drain pipe. If the thickness is not enough, possible to raise the bath area floor height? There is a kerb between bath area and toilet

3. to conceal the sanitary waste stack, which is located inside the bath area, i think timber material cannot be used. What other material can be used if want to consider aesthetic

4. Last but not least i feel this is challenging. Has anyone separated the bath area and wash basin/toilet bowl area before, using a partition? so that in the morning, two people can use the bathroom. One shower, another one uses the basin. Of course, there should be another door provided for the basin/wc aera. LOL!
