How To Clean Unit Before Painting

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I bought an second hand apartment recently.

I wanted to repaint the whole unit.

However, I found that the kitchen is very oily since the previous owner did not use a cookerhood in the kitchen.

Is it necessary to clean off the oily mess before painting.

If so, how can I do it?

Thank you.

Regards,

Hi,

You may try using the kitchen cleaning detergents to wipe down the walls before painting commencement.

Alternatively, you can engage a painter to do the cleaning before painting and/ or apply a coat of sealant to allow the paint to adhere to the kitchen wall properly.

On another note, usually the kitchens have tiled walls from ceiling down, so maybe you want to lay tiles or glass to the wall for easy maintenance going forward?

I can be reached at 92999451 if you need further clarifications.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Humphrey

Hi, I am not trying promote any painters here. But if you do wana try this painting services I had , you can email to simply4ofus@hotmail.com to engage them in excellent painting and patching services, my experience with them over my place initially was quite awfully bad cracks and quite a number of Spailing concrete. And Muchmore my flat have been 10 over years, so I engaged their services and wow! the painting is so much eye-opened and fantastic after finishing of painting and patching up of the Spailing concrete.

If you still wana have painting and redecorating of your house before Chinese New Year. You have to be quick as his project is filling up. I am also just a satisfied customer too.
