How to select a security system?

Hi, I recently moved to my new home. I was a little bit upset that our new place had faced 3 burglar attacks recently. We chose this place as we have to travel less to our workplace. Thinking about the safety of our house and belongings, we have decided to opt a security system. As we were searching for a good reliable one, there were plenty of options available for us. Then I came to see a blog which helped me how to select a security system. How often I am away from home, how much valuables do I have, are my kids alone etc. After going through this, I got an idea of what all systems should I go for. Hope this will help you too.
