Taobao kitchen and bathroom faucets

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am thinking of buying a faucet for my kitchen and bathroom from Taobao. As it will be my first time buying from Taobao, can I ask if anyone has bought faucets from Tb and are they good? They seem decently priced and rather nice, but  I am sceptical about its quality.

Appreciate your feedback! Thank you!

Hi,

I frequently buy things from taobao and my new house is 80% taobao. I would recommend a stainless steel ones if you do not need hot and cold outlet. Also, check on their reviews before buying. I usually recommend tian mao over taobao. I recently bought a waterfall faucet for sis in law and they are fine, it's only $45 after conversion. It's selling for $250+ here. Other than that, you can consider crossing the border to JB and get the faucets. I bought my 2 way faucet for kitchen from Ginmit Kempas JB, they are good quality stainless steel and is heavy.

Totally agree to what fatrabbit have mention. I usually prefer tianmao as they are more reliable to me, but if you are keen to try to buy on taobao , do really go and check for the review.
It is really important !

I bought some home furnishing items from Taobao such as bedframes and toilet accessories. It was an absolute disaster. The seller had good reviews but after 2 years, all the metal parts are beginning to rust. When my visitors come and comment about my rusty toilet accessories, I am **** paiseh.

I strongly advise AGAINST taobao taps. I've bought a few for my old house and I find that they drip after a while. The taobao shops if you PM them about the problem they will tell you how to tighten the cartridge inside. I did, but to my horror they get rusty inside. Maybe you're ok with showering in rusty water but definitely not drinking that, right? My friend fitted her entire house with taobao fitting and is also regretting.
