After 20 years of living in my apartment, the kitchen and bathrooms are getting old.  For examples:

1)  the bathtub has a few chipped surfaces in a few areas;

2)  the kitchen and bathroom wall tiles are showing some small cracks;

3)  the vanity top has a few chipped surfaces and small cracks.

Instead of doing the standard hacking and renovating which can get very messy and noisy as the occupants have to continue to live in the apartment, I am exploring the option of refinishing and reglazing the affected bathtub, vanity top, and wall tiles.  Has anyone done this in your home before?  Does the finishing quality looks good?  Do the refinished/reglazed surfaces have quality issues such as peeling, cracking, bumps, etc.?  Do you have any good contractors to recommend if you are pleased with the outcomes of your refinishing/reglazing work?

Thanks!
