After buying resale flat without grant, am I considered first time or second timer

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I will be getting married with a non citizen some time next year and I am looking forward to buy a flat on my own in near future. My only option is probably to buy a resale flat. I also hope to ballot in a BTO when my spouse gets her SPR in time to come. I would like to askl, if I were to buy a resale flat without taking any grant at all, are we considered first timer or second time in the BTO after my spouse gets her SPR? The reason why I ask is because I have heard that if you do not take any grant for the resale flat, you may be considered as a first timer in the next BTO. What I heard may be wrong and I cannot find any information on this. Thanks everyone in advance.

resale levy apply if you buy 2nd subsidized flat or ec from HDB.

Resale levy payable for 3rm is $30k, 4rm is $40k and 5rm is $45k
