Worst experience with Heng door and renovation!

One of the worst experience in my life with a contractor http://www.hengdoor.com.sg/ for windows replacement. The person who came in was extremely rude and acted like customers shouldn’t ask anything and must give him the money he asked for, even if it’s ridiculously priced.

He say it can’t repairable and window had to be replaced and quoted 650 dollars which we had agreed to, and asked him to take measurements when we texted earlier. He also told us that we had to pay him for transport if we did not confirm, which we agreed to too.

After he came and took measurements, he suddenly quoted $960?! I asked him the reason and got annoyed(!) he bested around the bush and didn’t want to explain why we were paying hundreds of dollars extra and he said he didn’t have to repeat what he said to me anymore (and proceeded to mutter away in Chinese to his coworker) He then continued that I didn’t read his msg properly (he didn’t state a grill replacement price smh)

The problem wasn’t the payment, the problem is that he seems to have changed the price upon seeing our faces and proceeded to accuse us of not reading the msg, and that we were “disrespecting” him for trying to lower the price we weren’t supposed to pay? Racially biased and uncivilised.

We stopped him halfway and paid him the $50. Of course he was happy at that and didn’t hesitate to take the money and leave without doing anything (still muttering away in Chinese)

hence, contract at own risk! 

PS: I found another contactor who is very good and I am going to change the window panel only for 280 dollars!!
