Flickering Cove Light headaches (with video & pics). Any advice please?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Is it possible to tell from the attached video (See Link 1), what is wrong with in the electrical setup?

This is a second hand flat. The false ceiling and cove light is very nice, but I don't know how to troubleshoot since everything is concealed. How much will a contractor charge to fix everything? Do I need to cut a hole in my false ceiling? ?

Note that the tube lamp and the tube starter are all new (bought and tested at Chuan Huat) - but when I fix up at home, the light starts to flicker.

Any advice please and kindly help! Thank you

Hm, to be honest, I do not see anything wrong in here. Did you find out what was wrong with the wiring? I do not really understand what could be incorrect here, but if the lamp is flickering, you have to fix it. You might actually have an issue with the voltage, and it has got nothing to do with your wiring. There might be something wrong with the electricity delivery to the entire building. Thankfully, I live in a house, and I do not have these kinds of issues. Moreover, even if I won't have electricity, I still have the best flag pole light. It will illuminate the entire area around the house.
