2.1 set means no rear and center speakers, only have subwoofer and L&R front speakers.

how about HTS8100? Any1 using this...

HTS8100_59_webImage370.jpg

I have this at home.

Basically, its an all-in-one - DVD/CD player, Radio, ipod dock, etc.

Pros -

Very little wiring, just a power cable, a cable to connect the 2 pieces, a HDMI cable to the TV.

Small unit, can be wall mounted as well.

Good general all round player.

Cons -

Its not a true surround sound speaker, and cannot compare to one.

Bass is a little weak at times to me, despite the physical size of the subwoofer.

Expensive (I got mind at a lower price from someone at Philips).

it a virtual surround system, unlike those system with rear speaker and a powerful woofer.

I guess i like the simplicity of this unit... and yes it quite EX!

so u got 'staff' price... good for u :yamseng:

GiLBs-

Does it replicate surround pretty well? Or is just good sound but everything sounds like it is coming from the front...
