  1. Any idea how is the usual crowd? Worse than computer fair? What will be the best time to go? First thing in the morning?
  2. Next, pictures of the MBR... Bed and one side table from IKEA, dresser introduced earlier.. using our current mattress so not there yet. The other side... 10 ft wardrobe including the area to mount the TV... MBR Toilet...
  3. Moving tomorrow!! Some Final Pics before we mess up the house with our 80 boxes of stuff. Living Room.... the area under the windows is recess cabinets.... Our study room.... Bookshelf and table from IKEA... i know some people don't like IKEA products but our experience is ok so far....
  4. Dear all, Thanks for your compliments... Ya, the kitchen is our favourite part of the house. Hey Rasp, need to have the space before doing island, otherwise will look very cramped. We sacrificed one room for it. As for the dish rack, we will not have one, the sink actually has an additional insert that can place dish there to drip a bit. We intend to drip a bit then wipe and store, so should not be an issue.
  5. Some pics before the move in.... 1) Big Cozy Corner completed... need some cushions or tatami... we love the Japanese looking roller blinds. 2) Dining chairs and bar stools in kitchen already... 3) The Island + Dining Table... 4) The Teka Ovens + Cooking area
  6. Sofa will be in today... so all the major furniture like beds and all that are in already. The small furnishings will take our time to find lor. Hehe... hopefully will have time this weekend to post. But we have a lot of barang barang to unpack. Usually like that leh... we initially target 25 boxes, in the end got 40 boxes. The boxes fill up real fast especially when you have bulky items! Hehe... long weekend ma. Got 3 days to move, clean and unpack rather than 2 days.
  7. Tomorrow final rectification, left small items only like filling up some grouting and touch up painting. Otherwise everything done already. Mm.... Have not really packed la, cos most of our items are in storage, left one wardrobe to pack, should be fairly straight forward.... but yea, moving this Saturday!
  8. *sigh* tomorrow handover and today around 6pm, the ID's assistant called and said the tap in our common toilet cracked and needs to be replaced. I told her must be their worker's fault then, since it was perfectly fine when it was installed 3 weeks ago. Her sms response was - To their understanding, it is the quality of tap that could not carry the water density when it is closed. ?? Anyone heard of such thing? It is a $35 tap lor, not top of the line but also not like super cheap kind.
  9. pretty popular free online site.... Floor Planner
  10. Thanks thanks... we were hoping that the island will be more "integrated" though. No plans for glass sliding door.... no budget and not sure if it is necessary. Left space to do the sliding door if required at a later stage as advised by a forummer. Hey! It is supposed to be invisible by painting it the same color as the wall! Actually think can... but we didn't think it is a big deal, so did not bother. Ok la, didnt do a lot, main thing is the kitchen. Total around 6 weeks. Left cozy corner havent complete. Can't wait to move in!
  11. Very bold kitchen color choice! Salut! I realize that most of us, we prefer to choose safer colors. It helps to have 3D photos! Maybe can go for pink or red appliances.... fridge LG got one with crystals... but 4k+ la. For aircon, suggest go for gain city. Read around the forum for feedback on the rest even though their price is very competitive. If willing to pay a bit more, go for Hong Tar.
  12. We also change the foyer light to something more impactful... Close up....
  13. Updates! Kitchen is almost done, solid surface is in... just need to hook up the hood, hob and do the sink. On the left is our island/countertop, on the right is our dining table. Storeroom reconstruction complete with tick tack doors. MBR Toilet also almost done... left with the mirror and the installation of sink and tap. Texture of the wall tiles...it is also our floor tiles. The other 3 sides of the wall are the same kind of tiles but in white.
  14. Thanks thanks... mmm... tentatively chose May 9 to move then have May 10 and May 11 holiday to clean up and unpack... Current schedule is: Apr 29, walk through with ID on final rectifications. Apr 30, May 1 - Touch Up May 1-3 - Clean up and delivery of electronics and furniture. May 4-8 - Pack up our current stuff May 9 - Move May 10-11 - Unpack
  15. Never tried the vertical massage shower panel but just to let you know, it is advisable to check the water pressure of your unit first. My colleague bought the vertical one and could not use it at all because the water pressure of her unit is low. Massage one need high pressure to have impact ma. And she is living in a condo lor...
  16. can... just not done yet. Have to have the block of wood there because the gap pipe is running behind...
  17. ID confirm handover next Wednesday.... YAY! Thanks to lawry, manage to extend the hood.... Black mosaic tiles for kitchen backing is up... initially ID wanted white grouting say nicer... but think maintenance will faint... so used black grout instead.... we also use countertop lighting.
  18. I think this couple of days, anywhere also very hot. Maybe just do 1-2 rooms with minimal trunking so at night if want to sleep, just have to pull Ti-Lam for the very hot days.
  19. Thanks thanks. Don't know why but my ID's workers very messy compared to most of the people I see in the forum. Everything throw here throw there cardboards, laminates, wood pieces and other debris everywhere. So very hard to take pictures Guess just have to wait for the final product. Kitchen... ya, we love the kitchen, waiting for the white solid top to come in. Had to sacrifice a room to make the kitchen big but we take comfort that we are putting the dining room in there. Its like some people who like walk in wardrobes and sacrifice an additional area for it. We actually have a lot of drawers in the kitchen... carpenter keep complaining that very expensive, cannot make money. Ours is not soft closing one unlike the ones that you guys get from Uncle Soon.
  20. mm.... roller blinds should be cheaper than day and night curtains. but roller blinds depends on how many panels you need. For me, my cozy corner is like a bit of Bay Window... looks something like the below.... so actually need 4 panels. In general, HDB room just need 2 panels. |_ _ _ _ |
  21. Ya, living room only night curtain... the current owner don't even have any curtains for living room, so we think night curtains will be enough. Total is around 1.9k including GST. MBR day curtain is organza that's why more expensive. Costs $480 from Huafu Furniture including the stool. It is a place that sells country furniture in Tan Boon Liat Building (Outram Road). Ikea has something similar and comes with a glass top which you can also consider. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10121228
  22. Thanks Lawry for your advise! Will fix the hood properly on Monday then. Thanks Pet. Confirmed curtains with Jimmy Textiles today... Living Room full length curtains... a shade of purple to go with the purplish walls... MBR day and night curtains.... to go with the greyish walls.. Roller blinds for study, cozy corner and daughter's room.... chose black for study, not sure how it will work out! Also bought this dressing table for the MBR.
  23. Lawry, thanks! So after that can peel off the white thing is it?
  24. Kitchen and dining area... dining table to be combined with Island. Hood the carpenter don't know how to install, so looks weird.... think there is something that can be extended.
