I got mine from Curtain Villa in Furniture Mall. Reasonably priced, about $2k for curtains in the masterbed room and bedroom 2, roman blinds for the living and study area, and vertical blinds for the planter sliding doors. They also did cushioning for my bay window ledge. Very good service from victor. Been to both VLUX and Lights Advance at Geylang. Personally I feel that Lights Advance has a wider range of PLC downlights, some with better quality and design. I managed to pick one with glass fitting and unsightly screws hidden from view, very elegant. I bought my dining lamp from there as well. Apparently the same lamp is being used in chanel boutiques. It's an exquisite piece, and reasonably priced. Will post a photo if i have the chance.

don't ever use the IKEA floor protector. It will damage your parquet flooring. Consider getting a yoga mat to lay it underneath your chair. That is what I intend to do.

My experience with Living Story is really quite unusual. I bought my TV console from them, and paid in full. I fixed my delivery date 6 weeks after. When the time came for the delivery, I was told that the item would be delayed by about 3 days. As I have already planned for other delivery arrangements, that delay would upset my delivery plans. So I called up the shop and spoke to the boss, who was very apologetic about the shipment delay and promised to send the goods on the agreed date, which they did. I wouldn't say the goods arrived in the best condition. Workmanship was so-so, and there were some slight defects. I requested them to correct it on the spot, there were some improvements, so I let it pass. Surprisingly, I received another call few days later, informing me that they will be replacing my console (i never asked for a replacement). I gladly accepted the offer, and they sent it to me on the same week, this time round, the condition was almost perfect. I did suspect that the first delivery was just to 'tide' me over, probably a showroom set, I'm not sure. But I am glad that Living Story still has some integrity and replaced my 'defective' set. Well, something that almost went wrong but turned out fine at the end of it, that's my experience with Living Story.

I am looking for aluminium table and chairs, commonly found at outdoor cafes, or canteens, to be placed on my balcony. Where can I buy them?

i bought mine from MUJI. Cost about $200 plus per bean bag, but it stays in shape and looks classy. Got 2 for my living room.

His butt seems to be the focus of the picture! But seriously, what type of wood did your contractor use? Chengai or Merbau wood? Anyone has any comments on these 2 types of wood?

Where can I find contractors who can install wooden/timber top for my bay window ledge, as well as timber flooring for my planter? So far it seems only Goodhill provides both services. Pls share. Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. Apparently the salesperson said that Sony doesn't support DVD9 format, which include pirated DVDs. I do own several SACD, so that would come in handy if the player supports the feature. Anyway, will check out nbood shops for a better deal!
