  1. Other than bath tub, u still nid to install the mixer n shower ma... Tads wad i mean by accessories...
  2. Definately concrete is better than wood lor (in sense of withstand impact) But how can u have the suspended design for ur cabinets together wif concrete support? (when the concrete support needs to be constructed from floor to worktop) Its not tad practical to do suspended kitchen cabinets for hsehold who does daily cooking... If u wanna have better looks, then u will have to do the choppings on the floor liao... Dun waste to construct the partial support as it is not properly + originally constructed...
  3. Price range abt 1k... U may contact Eric from Supreme Metal Works @ 9832 1380 Just tell him Pierre recommends...
  4. Market price : Labour to install tub & accessories - $250 Construct support w/ tiles finishing - $350
  5. Sry bro/sis, i'm not a Ikea shopper... I only know their furnitures r all made from chipboards... Hi ahjane, u can buy nearly 3 solid surface with $190.... U're a gd buyer man... kekeke
  6. It can be sales tactics, but also can be true... Mostly r fakes unless they really throw in alot of free items or maybe give u a discount of at least 20% or more (to compensate/reward u for the time allowance for showflat event going on for mths)... If a design firm really wans to create a showflat from true owners (not their friends nor relatives hse), they'll get their sub-cons to 'support' by doing it FOC for tad firm(as part of sales tied down between them)... Therefore showflats r usually created wif very minimum costs... But designs must go wif them, bcos they nid to present the best... *Tis is quite a legendary sales tactics aldy... Its jus a type of pyschologic sales.. Make the owners feel eager, tempted, n a feeling of 'WOW', my hse gonna be showflat of blah blah blah company, sure beri nice, worksmanship sure tip top... (I'd learnt tis 7 yrs ago) Just bargain if its true!
  7. All door bells r commonly battery operated nowadays... Jus whether got wirings between the button to bells or not... Its not being wired to ur electricity....
  8. If ur existing hse have conceal wire for door bells (Less matured hse like urs), make use of the wired 1s... If not, use battery 1s... Run wire beri ugly...
  9. Bcos of its newly printed inks on the bread packaging... If its placed uniformly well onto solid surface, wif moists n left overnight, the work top can be get printed... Even on wood surface as well, practically any flat surface also will kena the print... (bcos my wooden table also kena) I never let my owners choose solid colors for kitchen n dining table... Regardless of any gd brands or acrylic base, definately got probs... I strongly believe wad kastlekonfusion had, is pure unlucky to have default solid surface... Tad material itself is not perfectly produced, in the sense tad the material is not 100% harden... Leaving a very slight form of chemical moist which will reacts with any form of solidified rubber n plastics (those materials which melt easily)... Although wad kastlekonfusion suffered is only very mild reaction, but i do encourage u to get it change ASAP b4 ur family's health gets affected...
  10. Concrete sink/stove support is meant for those hsehold who did heavy cooking... Its not a 'must' to be built for sink/stove area... Concrete support is well known for its durability n easy maintenance... Solid surface worktop is used on concrete supports for to replace tiles, have a better outlook, intro by younger generations, us! But not so practical to have solid surface worktop w/ concrete supports... Its more ex jus to get the 'fashion appearance'...
  11. I think i've seen it at either Little India or @ cow car water... There's few shops selling those classical knobs n latches...
  12. kekeke, dun mention... It cost me nothing to post in RenoTalk... (^^,)
  13. Scatches are inevitable? Not applicable to ur case lor... '三结路' shouldn't be abrasive... Urs is due to poor worksmanship/ carpenters neglience... The drawers tracks must have enough allowance for it to perform well... The allowance given to ur tracks r abit too little (1/16 inch more will be perfect) Lack of tracks allowance will cause the result of urs, track holders scratching the side of drawers, n making it feel abit of tightness when opening... (Sometimes we can't blame the carpenters, worksmanship can't be perfect at all...) Solutions: 1) If u're fine wif it (consider ur contractor n carpenters r gd in nature), jus bear with it as its not a major prob... After using it, the track will perform as normal gradually... 2) Demand ur contractor to fabricate a new drawer wif the correct dimensions... (If u sense they're those nasty type)
  14. Its depends on the person=contractor u engaged lor... But for minor reno items, the price won't be tad cheap de... Rem the quote theory i mentioned earlier on?
  15. Simple cornices for a room ~ $150 False ceiling for a common room ~ $500 Price varies wif work quantities n areas of construction... No definate pricing for ceiling works...
  16. Try sniffing out the culprit lor... Might be the drainage hole... Or try flushing all drainages wif great amount of water... Hope this helps...
  17. Try looking for Alwin, Ally or Elton... They r the most respected 1s there...
  18. Its all purely based on ur likings ma... U dun have to roam around to see designs... U may visit those ID firms n ask them tell u more on designs or jus click on fellow forumers' blog to see their newly done units...

  20. Rivoting method is more advisable for tightening thin aluminiums...
  21. Wad u have now is the lastest mechanism.. Its very commonly used nowadays... Wad u mentioned n wan is the older type of mechanism... Jus give up that hole lor.... Or spend more to do the older type of casement windows... Tads the only 2 options u have...
  22. I'm ain't from any ID... Jus an ABC contractor who tries to KPO in RenoTalk... Giving fellow forumers some advise n right comments... Rather than seeing some 'gey kiang' misleading other laymans... ^^
