Hi Jupiter, just chanced upon your t-blog. Hm, as for the layout of kitchen, I do have a suggestion but not sure if it is too late or if it is feasible but at least the sink and hob won't be facing each other. I was thinking of shifting your fridge to the right hand side of the kitchen and built a L-shaped cabinet for the left hand side with the sink back-to-back with your wash area. Not an great description but I hope u get my idea.

Thanks for the welcome bubbli.. the only concern I have is the distance from the MSCP.. haha hmm.. its the contractor's idea. He wanted to lay the tiles this way to make it more unique. The tiles come in 600 x 600, 300 x 600, 300 x 300. We are quite happy with his suggestion from the 3D diagram so we went ahead. But I think those are normal tiles ba...

Hubby went up to check on the progress and realised that the tiling work has started. But he didnt stay too long so only took a few pics. But still happy that much progress has taken place and my contractor assured me that tiling will definitely fnished by mid next week as per schedule with his 5 men workin hard on it.

Hi Angel.. Do u have a t-blog? It didnt quite occur to me that certain toilet layouts wont allow for a wall instead of shower screen. Just curious on seeing an example..

Reading your reno blog makes me wanna be so involved, going on site and all.. but I can't. FSM said preggy woman cannot be there until the move in procedure is over. So now Hubby is tasked to take pics, do daily or once-every-other-day visit and I'm doing the coordination work. We share the same ID in this forum anyway.

Thanks pink. Well, a few reasons why we decided to do away with a shower screen. 1. I don't like the algae accumulating on the silicon, its very difficult to get rid of. 2. The wall is half the price of the shower screen. 3. I can build some shelving on the other side of the wall for small decorative items.

In fact, my purpose was not to waste time over the CNY period cos it will be 15 or more days that the workers will be away.

hm, the schedule he gave me depicted 23 Jan 08 as handover, which is like 3 days before CNY. haha But he is pretty confident of completing by 16 Jan 08 as he built in quite a fair bit of buffer. Let's see!

Was a bit disappointed when I heard from our contractor that the hacking of the wall between the study room and kitchen requires a permit that may take a longer time for approval. this was conveyed to me on Mon. I was afriad the the schedule will slip and I can't complete it before CNY. Then, yesterday my contractor called me to tell me they can start hacking this Fri le, cos approval obtained!! I was elated! I am so looking forward to moving in....

Haa! the other day @ Downtown East, i saw something u may like! keke imagine a MJ table with the full set of tiles, minus the legs for the table, 1/4 the size of the actual thing go check it out!

Hehe thanks! think the only place to play MJ will be the guest room when theres no guest, or else will have to play in the living near the main door. Yup! the seat is a day bed. Got it at abt 2.2k with extra pillows and stuffs. I also found out that wood,rattan an bamboo furnitures are also quite costly, think retailers have to sell at higher price to sustain due to lower market demand

Something we bought today! Been thinking if we should get rattan or this kind of thick thick bamboo furniture...hmm....we really like this after much consideration

As for bedroom 2 and 3, we have decided to buy furnitures to put in. Bedoom 2 is for my son, he s still small, only 3 this yr. He ever requested for those racing car bed frame, so will decorate it to his liking. As for bedroom 3, that will be guest room, mainly for parents over the weekend. So will also buy furnitures and put them in ( some recycled ) Keke now jus nice liao, expecting 2nd child, so 3 rooms will eventually be filled Now have problem, no space for Mahjong
