My bad.. didnt see u stated Aircon for Gaincity! Wat i mean was electrical appliances can always call up shops that are all over SG, just get quote over the phone. Aircon i took w the guy that jeremylym recommended after comparing w GainCity... cheaper on the overall, n he's sincere n honest not to recommend something that i dun need. But downside is no 5 yr extended warranty

ya, he promised to get me a gd tiler when i told him abt the tile problems that jesperbg had. but end up its not the tiler's skill but the tiles itself got prob! Ya, which is y i insisted that they solve the problem b4 laying. Else hack again n lay, not only delay the whole progress, gotta disturb my poor neighbours also. 20th? u toking abt payday or? how come u know which blk i'm in? Not so soon leh. My carpentry haven choose laminate. Painting also not done yet. Aircon also haven come in. According to Ah soon shd be another 2 wks... but i doubt they can finish. I'm ok as long as we can shift in by end April.

I've very happy to be back online w u all too!!! My problems r nothing serious, but quite a handful thou. Some pics on taken on delivery day 1st... My kitchen sink, $120 WC, some other fittings and accessories.. plus my fav tap and handshower. Open concept kitchen being sealed back. Makes both the living rm and kitchen look smaller.. quite relunctant to seal it back.. but well. More practical also ba, since hub is all ready to do his deep fry food.. Prob 1: Lucky thing i was at my place on Wed. The tiler started tiling and all the instructions given by Ah Soon to him were all wrong! Heng i was ard, so Ah Soon told him to chk w me again b4 laying, in case he rembr wrongly. Prob 2: thurs hub went back during lunch. Tiler told him MBR toilet tiles are not of the same width. We ordered the beige n grey tiles 300x600mm, but one was 299mm and the other is 301mm! 2mm diff, imagine 10 tiles will be 2cm offset, so ugly! Immediately, Ah Soon n tile shop uncle came down. Tiler was super professional and insisted that it will look very ugly n obvious if we went ahead to do it. Chge batch also no use, so I (still very happy with the solution!) told hub to tell them use mosaic to border it. And tile shop uncle agrees to absorb the cost after much argument! Prob 3: Electrical points in bedroom 2 n 3 were wrong. Plastering needs to be done to wall w DB box. To be rectified next wk. Prob 4: went up on Sat n the workers were still laying tiles! Hub was telling me MBR toilet very nice. I went up w anticipation.. only to see my grey wall tiles done with white groutings! Super ugly. N the funny thing is... no one asked what color groutings i wanted? They just assume and do it. But still very pro when i told the workers that i wanted grey groutings for grey tiles, they immediately rectified the problem, no black face somemore. So to prevent such miscomm again, i told them exactly what color to use for which tiles. Story of the wk: The most patient award goes to.. the tiler master! Reason: Saw him starting to seal up the kitchen entrance, then told him hub wants it at 34.5". After tt i realised it seems too small, my fridge dunno can go in or not. So MMS hub n show him. Meanwhile, the wall was already half done up. Hub came back n say he wants 1070mm instead, told tiler.. he "ok ok". Then hub chge his mind to 1080mm instead. Tiler still "ok ok..". I wished there was a hole for me to hide my face when i finish telling him the 1080mm....

I was so lost and dunno what to do when RT was down! My MBR got a lot of walls cos its L-shape. So will be painting 2 side by side walls w Mysterious and the rest with Kasmir. Hope it turns out fine n gd like urs! *fingers crossed*

Argh, how come u all managed to access RT on 6th? I've been having withdrawal symptoms ever since it was down (i'm down w running nose too, ,y hub say really like withdrawal lor!). only managed to get in today! i also think they are really very rich to rockstone paint every single piece of thing they can. The pipes in kitchen n common toilet already in rockstone. Kitchen i can box up, but common toilet i think i'll just have to live w it already My DB box initial position also very near the ceiling leh. My current house DB box also position near ceiling by HDB, no issues abt it. But we already shifted the new DB box to reachable level without chair/stool. N die die i'm boxing it up cos its right beside my sofa position! No so soon install leh, my tiles r still lying halfway. A lot of minor problems these few days. Will talk abt it when i get my camera back from hub. Mismatch tile size... wrong grouting color... N finally!! Renotalk is back online!

Actually ur price is not really ex already, considering its near MRT and its AMK. Gd to keep the terrazzo as base for ur laminate, save $ also! Box up can be done when u are less tight with budget, i don't think it involves very major work. Do what's essential 1st is a gd choice!

Wow!! ur plumber indeed very pro leh. 2mins to swop the pipes. Ask u ah, chge pipes need permit not? Or licensed contractor will do? And roughly how much to chge the pipes? If really so simple and within budget, maybe can just convince my hub to chge since it shd be even easier for my top floor. Hee! I din take note of pipes until i started listing down the reno items n reading renotalk! Top unit pros n cons lah, anything leak from the roof i'm the 1st to kena.

hmm, hub also said the same thing. But there's another small little wall beside my sofa position that is also not plastered. Gonna do a box up to cover up after shifting the DB box over so that i can hide the box n the other thick ugly trunkings. But DB box must still be accessible right? Like tt i will still have to see the rockstones whenever i access the box. Think must ask Ah soon if he can plaster that wall too. Went up to house to check for the WC measurement n finally my WCs r hacked! After a gd long 5days. Arranging delivery to come tmr and everyone's chasing me for the measurements n i had to postpone Eestilo's delivery becos i couldnt give them the dimensions b4 3pm today. I really the 1st owner who spray rockstones to EVERYthing they could. Even the DB box.

Was in the same shoes as u! After searching for LOTS of IDs/contractor, we were left last 2 choices: relative or one of the contractors (due to price factor). Had the same considerations as well, wat if not done up to satisfaction.. how? i cannot complain becos he may say "i give 自己人pricing already, why am i still so fussy?" Getting keys real soon, start hunting for accessories and fittings now!

Thks Angel! Anyway, I realised my whole house plastering seems to be completed, with the exception of my living rm ceiling. Suspect it is becos i'm gonna do false ceiling in whole living room, so the contractor skipped the plastering part? Is this really acceptable since i've already paid for plastering to whole unit? Like a bit shortchging rite?

ur lights are cheap!! Nice looking foyer lights leh... i'm also taking Mysterious for MBR! but only 2 walls, the rest will use another lighter tone.
