that was partially my fault cause we discussed our carpentry works till 12am the night before..

there are many different series of paint to choose from. what series did you used? ICI have this wash-and-wear series which might be better in terms handling stain and wiping. but i guess there is nothing to fret about. like i've said, my current place also have the same situation and i guess you wont be wiping till all the paint came off right?
-
came off a bit or alot.. cannot be that jia lat right since this is not poster colors but paint leh.. i didn't try wiping the paint on my walls yet but i think that is pretty common i remember when i wiped the walls of my current place, the paint also came off a bit.

i think it's call silvermink from ICI. i had a mixture of warm whites and cool whites for my downlights.. i like warm lights but wifey will get dizzy with too much warm lights. so end up i choose warm for special places that need more ambience and cool for places that she will use more often, especially when reading or watching TV. both conventional and stagger is also nice for this tiles. so dont worry can't wait to see pics for your floor. but remember to ask your ID to cover the tiles once they are done as i think these tiles cannot be acid wash.

plumber i mean.. paiseh paiseh.. how can i complain about his tilers.
-
glad that i am not the only one complaining about the plumber.. hope that yeak can change his plumbers soon. future yeakers who are reading this, please take note of the plumbers. take leave and monitor them if you can.

yeah. feature wall are tiles chosen from hafary. color that my wife chose is silvermink from ICI IIRC. yep, maximum credit in alexandra village. they have another branch at Jurong West too. in case some of you don't know, Hong Liang is one of their subsidiary thanks =) actually there is a color which doesn't work out that well and lucky yeak was kind enough to let us change it. and since we'll be changing it, i didn't show it. thanks =) thanks hi ripples, thanks for the tip had already added the plastic clips the following day. now that area has also been boxed up, so aesthetically there are no more issues. only concern is that the pipes doesn't over bend over time and causes and leakage which will be a disaster man.

Updates Here are some updates before i lose my thread (and before PJ starts to nag at me).. Some random pics of the house after the lightings are done and first coat of paint is up.. View from entrance. Planning for some art piece in the future. Living Room - Cove lights! MBR - Very nice paint color chosen by wifey. Another color that I like! - Majestic Yellow

hafary. i chose hafary cause it was less greenish as compared to LSH. but both are also nice and both i also like
-

no pics lei. i think you can find it in precious's thread. her's also bua one iirc. but trust me, bua one not as nice as 90 degrees. by the way, i like the way the white (or light grey?) tiles is being arranged and the color and the 90 degrees. nice lah. tiles from where? hafary? by the way, we broke your record liao... discussed with yeak our carpentry from 8pm to 2am on friday... discuss till seh and cannot think properly. can tell yeak is seh liao also.. cannot imagine how he look when seh right? lol....
-
bua till round lor.... cause our tiles are not white and the round plastic thing only comes in white.
-
bukit batok is me.. but no, we never quote you saying it's free.. we just asked him why we our tiling is not done the 90 degrees.. that's all. actually if there's an option of paying extra to do the 90 degrees, he should had asked first. I am sure many are willing to pay for the "extra charge". btw, the round plastic corner thingy is not the default, just more common. my parents house bathroom, which is not very new and uses lousy tiles had the 90 degrees done also. anyway, i am not complaining or not happy with him. just feel that wasted a better way of doing thing that can make the house nicer.

Updates Ceiling and partition wall works completed. Painting of the ceilings completed. First round of painting for walls was completed today. (pics were taken yesterday). Holes for downlights were all open. Last weekend was super tiring as we marked and opened all the holes for downlights and spotlights. Also went shopping to get our kitchen hood and hob. For those who were planning to get hoods and hobs, especially Rinnai, check out their package price for their Katana Hood. Discovered that when we went to their showroom. Showroom price was already quite attractive but dealers were even better as they give discounts on top of the Katana promo. For those who interested, i got my stuffs from Maximum Credit and if you need the name of the sales man (great guy) that I deal with, drop me a PM. Here are some pics.. Dining area Living room and false partition wall for tv and console Walkway to rooms MBR entrance WIW and rest of MBR Upcoming works: - Meeting Yeak tonight to discuss carpentry. - Lights will be installed this coming weekend. - Debris will be cleared this saturday. - Monday will be acid washing. - Tuesday will start to polish marble.

water pipes shouldn't slang over time. i dont see 20 or 30 years old flat with original water piping slang a bit. furthermore, problem now is not slanging over time, is installation problem lei... like i've said, box up = doesn't mean installing a slang pipe is ok. what if i never do box up? it's not fair what. heard from the tilers that the tiles very "qiao" (warp). so have to ask your tilers to lay properly if not will cut leg. sometimes i think yeak can be quite firm also. but anyway, just to check, for rectification works on tiling, when is it done? after wash up before carpentry?

The other one... get him aware of what? he says he saw the pipe and is ok wor.. ya these pipes are running across the bedrooms to the MBR bathroom...

Last week finish electrical rewiring, installation of aircon and running of water pipes. Yesterday and today will install and complete the false ceiling, partition walls etc.. Last friday took a day leave to monitor the installation of aircon and plumbing. It was then which i realised that not all Yeak's workers/sub-cons provide good workmanship. Was not very pleased with the work done by the plumbers. Though friendly, but i feel that they can be more meticulous in their work. One was ok but the other was quite terok. To cut the story short, they broke my wc cover, storage heater that is slanted, common toilet wc slightly slanted too, crooked/bended water pipes that were supposed to be straight and during the whole process of installation, can see that they work in a bing bing piang piang manner, not taking any care of my uncovered kitchen and bathroom flooring. Couldn't take it and gave yeak a call although i know he was in malaysia. Was quite particular with the bended pipes as it will be ran across 2 rooms through wardrobes and false ceilings. Don't wish to see any leaks that will cause a lot of troubles in the future. Though he assured me that it would not cause and leaks and cannot be seen since that area would be boxed up but it doesn't mean that things which cannot be seen can be anyhow do right? Knowing that it was impossible to change the pipe, we in the end can only settle by telling his plumbers to come back and install additional holders in the middle to support and push up the pipes. Yeak say the plumbers will come on monday (yesterday) Some pics of the crooked/bended water pipes that were supposed to be straight: This afternoon went up during lunch to look at the pipes again and despite putting up big cardboards and tapes stating not to box up as pipes need to be fixed, the workers still went ahead to box up the pipes. In the end had a tough time talking to them which they very reluctantly and unwillingly take it down to let me see. Actually it's just a less then 5 mins job which i don't understand why they are so reluctant to do. Can tell they are quite pissed with me. Pics of the pipes after adding the extra holder:

that's right. the one nearer to the door is the old compressor. false ceiling works will start next monday. just saw the false ceiling guy bringing up his things and taking measurements. and yes, we are planning and trying our very best to hide/conceal the wires.. think most of the trunkings that can be seen are in the study room.
