  1. MR16 3W LED lamp is just like spotlight, instead of halogen they using LED. Think that is a thread on MR16 LED.
  2. Maybe u can go to lighting.com.sg and ask about it.
  3. False ceiling...don't need permit. Carpentry works....don't need permit. Electrical....some need some don't need. Flats that have not been provided with higher electrical loading, require an HDB permit to install new 15 Amps power points for air-conditioners or other higher capacity equipment/appliances. Flat owners do not need to apply for an HDB permit to install an air-conditioner or other higher capacity equipment/appliances if the flat is provided with higher electrical loading.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong...think is called Tumbled Marble.
  5. Thanks for the compliment. Wanting to create a unique kitchen cabinet design so that it will be ahead of time and won't fade out of the fashion so fast.
  6. Thanks for the compliment. Yes, most of my customers get the same carpenter to do the work as long as they willing to wait a bit longer. You too will be getting the same high standard of work and services.
  7. Your neighbour is just being unreasonable. If your contractor working from 9-5pm during weekday, is consider legal and not breaking the rules and regulations so he complaint also no use. HDB permit is only for hacking and mostly doing wet works which is for a period of 1 month for resale flat, 4 months for new flat is i remembered correctly. Carpentry, painting, plumbling work, electrical works are not consider renovation work which require a HDB permit at all. Take eg. u buy kitchen cabinet from IKEA, they come and install, they need to apply HDB permit first? No nosiy work on sat but drilling and knocking do consider noisy work. But if owner DIY himself, then your neighbour have nothing to say at all. HDB also can't do anything to ask you to stop drilling right. I do hope your neighbour have a chance to do reno and feel it himself then he will be able to understand it. May GOD be with u.
  8. Oh....thanks for the compliment, but hope its not too late.
  9. Jennings or EDL, their glossy laminate max. is 1mm only, and u need to accept that their laminate if using the light, is wavy. Whereas Formica they do have 1mm glossy laminate but 2mm glossy laminate will not be wavy as can see in my T-blog. As for solid core laminate, its actually like plastic, that mean the back is of the laminate is not wood backing unlike the rest of laminate. Of course price wise is more ex. Custom graphics laminate can be u give them a photo u want, they print it onto the laminate. There is also mirror laminate and whiteboard laminate, choice of laminate is sooooooo much.
  10. Thanks for your compliment. As for the power point, making it look nice on the outside, but ugly on the inside. U can also ask your ID to do that too.
  11. Nice and creative t-blog u have.
  12. Depend on what type or model of Formica laminate u chose. Decor metal is very expensive...in the range of $98-$638 w/o GST per piece. The rest is still the same range as Jennings and EDL. For 2mm Glossy laminate, solid colour core, custom graphics, then Formica is more expensive so if using that, u need to top up the different. So that left only quite a few options u can chose which is mostly wood grain, leather, patterns, rigato and pearlescent laminate. EDL, Jennings are consider not bad already as they are more modern laminate.
  13. They do come in quite a few colour which will take some photos of the sample next.......
  14. This solid surface is not imported from China or even made in China....A bu=it expensive than Corian solid surface. It had a natural grain pattern that two piece cannot be join together as its will be totally different just like marble. Come in 9ft length and sell as per piece, so wastage or not still need to pay the full price. Had actually ask them to use the wastage to made a dining table for me, just pay them a bit more for the labour.
  15. A more closer look..... And that my solid surface....a design different from the rest.....
  16. Yes, I'm using LED strips for the light under the top cabinet and also below my solid surface...
  17. Full height cabinet......... Prefer to keep the mircowave above the reach of my kids....but within the ease of use for me..
  18. Also doing a bit different than the rest of the kitchen cabinet.....add in a design at the bottom cabinet by using metal strips..
