hey gaku, ignore those ppl who are saying that you shd have paid another thousand more just to have piece of mind. even if you really got an ID, there's no guarantee that it will be easier. personally, i think that since you have given your job to uncle, you must have faith in him. perhaps find out the reason why these are happening and solve it together with him? just my 2 cents' worth

I wanted to do feature wall...but now start to have my hesistation....this is my 1st home...1st reno....i really know nuts about it....just worry even if they do wrong...i amy not be able to spot it...sigh... reno sure more siong than wedding.... yeah, agree that reno more siong than wedding. we are aly putting our wedding preparation to a stall because of reno..haiz..

totally agree that Samsung's looks so much better than Hitachi..haiz...but htb say muz be durable, and tested and proven. haiz..

first thing that i wanna buy for the new house: a washing machine that has a dryer function! hahahaha..lazy and coward me dun wanna bring the poles out to dry the clothes. have considered using the hydraulic system. but hor...the space between the ceiling and the windows is way too much..think i'll keep walking into it. hahahaha... and it seems to me that there are two types of washer cum dryer 1. Direct drive. think this is the normal one. nth special 2. Steam. this one is amazing! removes wrinkles and refreshes clothes in 20mins!! but!!!!!! it may not be possible to steam an entire load of clothes at once. this may mean that the full load can't dry completely..won't that defeat the purpose?? and, it might use more energy and raise my bills..mmm...must think about it aly.. then again, been looking at some brands. Hitachi and LG caught my eye. i've a colleague who has used for more than 7 years and it's still working perfectly fine. amazed!!! let's see if i'll have time this weekend to take a look at the price. if it's too pricey...........then we might have to stick back to the washer only... *keeping my fingers crossed*

whee!!! reno started on Monday!! think they should be done with the hacking for the toilet wall and going to make good of the existing "hole". will be going down during lunch time to take a look..mmm..dunno why...but i dun seem very excited abt the reno now. mmm.. but i'm definitely looking forward to shop for furniture and appliances!!! whee!!

Latest update - We have to install window grilles!! *faint* really hate to have them in the house but it's for safety's sake and i couldn't imagine ourselves going through renovation for the grilles when we are about to have kids. might as well get it over and done with. 2 types of aluminium grilles are available for us - the silver one and the powder coated one. omg!! the powder coated one is so much more expensive!!!! yet silver ones are not as good looking..mm..haiz.. we are doing to the rituals this sunday and we can start our reno next week!! woo!!! but one worrying thing - we haven't see our house design in 3D. mmm..time to call the ID..
