  9. rather spend the money elsewhere?! didn't i say i didn't want to spend that $1k+ on plastering?! Besides, if my unit enbloc, I'm just wasting money on it, think the reno cost to date is good for a at least 5 years duration le... want to pay for it for me mah?!
  10. yes, they're looking very good hafary?! I learn that there's no point doing survey too early, I did that and by the time I went with ID, the tiles have already changed... some designs were out, some designs came in...
  11. i see.. tiles are good, i will have gone for all tiles myself if we could afford... but I'm getting used to laminates since one of my offices used that... just wonder how that will be in hot weather.. anyway... selected your tiles yet?!
  12. I know... haiz, but still not going to spend 1k+ on plastering... that's the decision of me and my wife... no cornices, no plastering, simple works..
  13. Didn't realise they have meetings in the mornings Maybe cuz I've yet to be waiting there in the mornings So are you guys doing tiles or laminates for floorings?
  14. some hiccups with the reno permit for top hung vent for bathrooms, so delay for a while but at least ID sent her workers down to do up the pipe while waiting for it... so far so good, hope no major (or even no more) hiccups... it usually get better after 8pm, so just shut the windows from 6.30-8pm
  15. Momo, Can see AMK Hub and sheltered? I envy you for the shelter, mine is further up around AMK Sec and there's no sheltered path But thankful I don't get to hear the meetings near mine except when I pass through the junction in the evening haha, I think my blog was also hot initially by my many questions then?! I only just started reno and many pages already
  16. 90% of the tiles (tiling only kitchen floor and bathrooms' walls and floors) up, 10% undone cuz of HDB permit for top hung vent yet to approve previously (only approved yesterday) Noticed yesterday that pipes are up too... Sorry, pics will be slower than actual updates...
  17. I think the cheap amount is due to just changing from squatting to sitting bowl without changing the rest of the tiles. And yes, quite evil
  18. You never see they already knocked off half of it meh?! I can't ask them to finish all the cabinet in one day just so I can take pictures mah... by now it is already all removed
  19. The blue color is what the HDB contractor uses when people complain about leaks gotten some, not the accessories though...
  20. I guess going through the process or getting recommended via friends, it is a good process to know and do even though I hated those 3 weeks that I've gone through with almost 10+ IDs/Contractors. Believe me, at least half of them were from friend's recommendation or from fellow forummers too. In the end, we chose someone based on price (though not lowest) and quality and 'clickability' Anyway, glad to see you've gotten yours.
  21. Friend, Googling helps... Anyway, here are the steps I follow Initial Door Opening steps
