  1. Yah that's right. No physical keys with several other minor features. Is it worth the price? It depends. for me it was.
  2. Not entirely true. For eg. 3109 vs V100, 3109 has physical keys while gateman doesnt. It can also register any mifare key cards or key fobs.
  3. www.grass.at Designed and Made in Austria www.blum.com Designed and Made in Australia www.hafele.com Designed in German but Made in China
  4. better materials, engineering, and branding. I was also choosing it between the Samsung and the Gatemans. Finally chose the 3109.
  5. Hi anyone know which shop has a good selection of those traditional pendants? such as this:
  6. I went down to have a look myself. None of the WCs model match that of americanstandard-us.com and they are selling them for a high price. I'm not saying they are cheating, do judge for yourself. It's really sad that retailers in sg have to resort to tactics like these. Come up with some european or american sounding name but are actually ...
  7. Doing some research on WCs. Hoe Kee claims to carry American Standard. From their webpage, the logo I saw was this: Then I went to American Standard's website proper, the logo is this: Looks fishy. Do they really carry American Standard products that feature the Champion 4 flushing system? Anyone knows?
  8. To all victims, this is what I would do. (Cannot do small claims if amt >10k) Dunno can class action suit. Get a lawyer to write his company a letter to reserve all rights to claim him Give him a short notice to respond, such as 3 or 7 days. If no response, Get the remaining work done. Keep all invoices and receipts. Get lawyer to claim him the difference that he owe you. And let the law takes its course... Your lawyer will advise you your next step. If he is sole proprietor can go after his personal assets. If company can garnishee his bank or WSS It would take money to engage a lawyer and you might not get much back in the end. at least you put pressure on him or just feel better by winding his company up. hope this helps.
  9. If you have the time and patience, read all about their histories here: Grohe: http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-his...ny-History.html Hansgrohe: http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-his...ny-History.html Looks like the story is enough to film a hong kong drama. Basically, this old man Hans Grohe had too many wives, sons and children. The 2nd son of the second wife worked for old man for a while before striking out on his own, then come back as CEO for a while, then left again. Both companies were friendly for AWHILE. The shares sell here sell there, private become public, public become private. Ultimately, both are now bitter rivals. Both also have production facilities in China. Personally, I prefer the feel and design of Hansgrohe. If you ask me I would avoid the entry level series of each brand and go for at least the mid-range or the designer series. The entry level of Grohe doesn't feel like it's made in Germany, even though it says it is...
  10. Hah I am too familiar with IT. So you are implying it is not easy to use, not popular, can be very powerful, but got to do alot of things yourself?
  11. Agreed. 7 yrs is helluva long time. change it if you have absolutely no choice
  12. What method is that? Seems like there is much debate regarding its authenticity.
