  1. erm..sorry. boon keng that tuesday nite, jason was with me and red_devil. we were having a little chat.
  2. vio. congrats on your new flat. wonder if you've selected your tiles? jason ask me to do so, but i havent had the time. care to share abt your tile hunting experience? thanks
  3. thanks. got lucky with the marble flooring. we're keeping it. just need to polish it to a shine.
  4. not a good idea to paint your stair deck if it's made of wood. this is mine. painted blue. my better half is so adamant about redoing the staircase and having glass railings instead. haha, this is one of the few occassions we both concur.
  5. ok. i let u know how it goes tmrw. i was told i could pay for it using cpf if i do it together with the purchase of the flat. anyway, hdb's right hand does not know its left, so i expect to be in the same situation tmrw. stunned! haha
  6. hi kopi-o tmrw is my first apptment i told hdb i intend to purchase my recess area, and they told me I can't do that since i am not the rightful owner yet. if i still intend to process my application simultaneously with the purchase of the flat, i have to get my sellers to sign a document, which you have just been made aware of. luckily for me, my sellers had no qualms in signing that document. not so straightforward, cos if the transaction fails to go through, the sellers have to purchase the recess area themselves. I was informed too that the process takes abt 16 weeks if there's relocation of utilities. otherwise, it would take abt 8 weeks. I submitted my documents a mth back, so hopefully, by my 2nd apptment, i would have gotten my recess area. i keep you updated tmrw after my first appointment and see if that's possible. wish me luck. like you, if it's not possible, then i will postpone the renovation of the recess area till next year.
  7. let us know how it goes. hopefully no need to change
  8. me not changing flooring. jason said shd be ok. i intend to saunter in after my honeymoon into a brand new house with a brand new wife. haha

  22. haha. it's just the accountant in her. u did not do false ceiling for the whole kitchen? why not? i am currently toying with the idea of installing that in the kitchen. not sure if it is real ncecessary. but my boss prefers that, saying it is nicer and more uniform with the rest of the house
