  3. Hi, if your damage is not high, I suggest you quit him and move on to some other contractor who can finish up the work. Then you see how u can get the money back from him. Keep waiting is not a solution. I really propose to make sure he can't step foot into this reno business ever again. I'm sure the other house owner is in as deep **** as you are. No matter what, you guys/girls/whoever must hang in there ok... Must handle this son of a ***** together.

  10. HDB has the responsibility of making public housing affordable. Bcos they built the flat in the first place and they sell it to u. Seller is greedy Buyer is stingy Singles cannot buy new flats Married cannot wait for new flats. HDB cannot come up in time with the new flats or oursource to pte developer bcos it's too troublesome to manage themselves. All these adds up to the elements to this boom. If the govt dun do anything to control, then we will be the next America. All ur property dun belongs to u, but the bank and the govt. All will go rent a tent at the sea side. Or hope we all move to District 9 or 10

  20. TRUTH: Buying a house in Singapore is no longer "I NEED" it's has become "I WANT". "I NEED" is long gone 20 yrs ago. Keep up the trend pls or get left behind. Hahahaha Just look at the valuation now! The price is every increasing SKY HIGH but the loan and affordablity is ever decreasing H.E.L.L (wow i din know this word will become ****) LOW!!! And the govt/agents are enjoying the best of the situation. OOOOOOOOO! SHIOK!!!!!!!
  21. Now they come up with DBSS, wah tat is a classic, I almost fall into it's trick. Imagine this, they outsource it to private developer, call it semi-govt/private housing. But the space is like 3 room flat, but they give u high ceiling and tag it at 700k. OOOOOO! Private developer don't want to risk their own money to build before selling, so wat they do, they make u register a unit with them and start paying for it before you can actually live in it. And it usually takes 4 - 5 years to build. Let see... if you pay for something that you don't get to use for the next 4 - 5 years, wat is the ROI of it? Another rich ppl toy house bah! Correct me if i'm wrong, i tink u cannot sell it after 5 years, wah 10 years of burden.... gosh... maybe the govt can stop playing all these little tricks to impressive and blind the market and start going back to basic housing need. Bcos of all these exorbitant price tags and dunno from which planet these rich ppl come from that we can't afford anything!!!

A forum is suppose to allow us to speak our mind and not politically correct! For the poor lady tat you mentioned, I would say it's a choice she made to live in a 3 rooms flat. Scully she has like 20 LV bags and husband driving Porsche? U never know... We too have our choice to the space we need. We don't need ppl to tell us how much we should limit ourselves with. This is just stereotyping with extreme bias opinion. With regard to the benefits for the procreators, well, all I can tink of is the govt is trying to stop them from abusing this benefit. Look at their GST & progress package, I ask, how many of us actually use it to relief ourselves from the real intention? Shall I make a poll to show how many of us still actually use tat money for emergency? Humans are by nature, greedy. Until one day, we all saints, the govt will not give us 1 lump sum and hope we use it wisely. But seriously, procreators are real lucky ppl already. 4 mths paid maternity, childcare leaves, child mc, etc etc... I ask again, who will take over their work when they are away for such rubbish? How much in a year do they actually work as compared to us singles? Think back when u were still young, free and ONSing. I agree, LIFE IS NEVER FAIR live with it or leave it. And you are rite, ppl can't stand these rules are already starting to leave this forsaken ground, the news has reported so much of it already.... Soon, your neighbors will be all new citizen and such future is not tat far away. Dunno if it's a good thing or bad....

Let see, If I buy a 4 room flat, 450K in TPY, I borrow loan from either the bank / HDB, in paper I own the flat, but in the eye of the law, if I cannot afford to pay, HDB/Bank has the rite to seize my flat. I have to work all my life to pay for the loan, is that wealth to me? Does the size of our loan & debt = to the size of a Singaporean Wealth? Hmmmmmm.....
