4. This is the floor tile we chose for the kitchen, same series as the bedroom floors but different colour This picture is taken at the showroom of Hup Kiong. Wood look tiles for kitchen was inspired by the looks of this kitchen floor, but I wont be going for Yellow cabinets. Picture from http://loydpek.blogspot.com/2008/09/5rm-hd...ands-dr-75.html
5. Bought 2x Grohe Concetto taps for toilet basins at the recently ended Grohe Warehouse Sale. With GST about $106 each. Not too sure is it a good price or not. Also bought a Rubine brand kitchen sink
6. View from my low unit By refering to my floorplan above first post Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 view Living room, study room and masterbedroom view I like it that non of the windows above are facing a block that is too close, in fact the opposite blocks are quite far away. Only exception is my kitchen window, which I can throw a stone into the opposite block unit. Open air carpark, so I park beneath my block.
7. Kitchen with the cabinets hacked. The concrete sink and stove support will be hacked away too and i will rebuilt a sink support in concrete. Stove support will be part of the new kitchen cabinet to be built, with solid surface top. Kitchen looks very long and spacious because the storeroom was hacked away by previous owner. See the white pipe running from floor to ceiling? The original storeroom was until that pipe. I will be rebuilding back my storeroom, thus cutting my kitchen size by half. Kitchen and storeroom after tiles and floor hacked. They are rebuilding the storeroom that was hacked away by previous owner, with hollow bricks. See how small is the kitchen now?
8. Bedroom door relocated back to the original location. Previous owner has moved it, now i have to move it back, haiz 1st, the remove the door, and hack a new opening. brick up the door opening
9. Going well. We engaged contractors and not IDs, so we r also doing most of the "designing" ourselves. Took us countless trips to the tile shops, hours and hours spent there browsing browsing choosing choosing. When we finished with the tiles choosing and how we wanna match the wall tiles, it was a big load off our shoulder.
10. Dining area and main entrance before and after hack You can see the entrance into the kitchen at the far end. Over that far corner, I will be building a small study area with partitioning, glass windows and glass sliding door. This will cut my dining area by half, making it smaller and less spacious. This also means I will end up with 5 rooms in my tiny HDB flat.
11. Can adjust, but i need a heater that can turn on full heat always, without burning out or breakdown. Many instant heater if turn on full, wont last for long. Also, some heaters have built in control such that the max water temperature is 45 degree Celsius, which is not hot enough for me.
12. Hi people, As per topic. Want really strong heating element that can make the water really hot without compromising on the water flowrate. I know that by reducing the water into the inlet, the output water will become hotter, but that is not what I am looking for. Also, I know about water storage tank as an alternative, but will not be considering water storage tank due to various reasons, so no need to recommend that to me or explain it's advantages to me, thanks
13. Hi, as per topic. I was told by windows contractor that can sliding windows can close fully as per normal, but Gain City says most probably cannot and aircon will "block" that pc of window from closing. Anyone manage to fix the aircon, on to their sliding wondow and yet can close all the windows fully when not using the aircon? Thanks
14. Intend to change sliding windows at my 5rm to casement windows. Any good company can recommend to me, with reasonable price? Thank you.
15. Hi, thanks, I think I will do it your way and do left to right according to door.
16. Hi, I am thinking of laying those long woodlook ceremic tiles in my bedrooms. Example Now I am thinking of how to lay the tiles such that they will be the most visually appealing, eg the direction the tiles should run. Here is an example of my floorplan Should I lay the tiles like the picture above, same direction for all the bedrooms? In the above example is all running up to down based on floorplan. If i do this, then when i am looking into master bedroom and study from the dining, the tiles will orientate left to right. Then when i look into bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 from living, the tiles orientate up/down. Is this the way that long tiles/laminate floor/parquet are laid, all same direction?
17. Hi, can I know what kind of flooring is this?
18. Me too, but so far no ideas. Wanted to fix a fan with lights but scared is not bright enough for the living room and MBR.
