ivy... u r rite,i dun want discount also. i quarrel with my husband over this also. i rather i pay him more than to accept tiles with defect...now trying to find a chance to talk to him on this... uncle always in a rush, we talk also very rush de... but my husband somehow can cast a spell on him to make him listen to his longwinded... hahaha.. this ah tan is long winded like u say... uncle already call to rush him to go over to another house to do rectify works, he still stand there n chat with my hubby for 40mins.. until i say, i want to close door go home liao then he slowly move out...hahaha... my hubby went to the chalet but u guys all gone home liao... how old are ur kids? mine is 4yrs n 2yrs.. very hyperactive.. haha..

hi forkie actually the white grout can be restored one. but, DUN EVER EVER USE those toilet stain remover - my friend did that n the tiles overnight all very badly stained!! my ex neighbour bought one of the very good tile cleaner, not only the tiles shines like polished, the grout remains very white like new...i see there are some tile grout cleaner in the market also not bad... (haven't really tried tou)

hi christy can i get ur advise on ur curtain? i happen to ask quotes from middle curtain from 2 branches, very surprised the price for blind was like 1st gal quote: RM $16psf 2nd gal quote: $14psf the end result, price difference is a few hundred dollars...actually i didn't mean to purposely ask 2 times, just happened i pass by so i ask to confirm the pricing.. not know different people quote different price..

This is a SAMPLE of the tiles in my common toilet - one of the wall panel, the rest of the panel in white tiles.. I did the one in maroon... wanted the black one but OUT OF STOCK!! The plain maroon with no design, I am doing it for the floor. hi coffee! according to the tileshop, this tile is from spain. it is expensive due to its glittering effect... I thought since I am doing only on 1 panel of the wall and the floor, it shouldn't cost much... (didn't do my sums correctly -totally mesmerized by the tiles-- it looks very nice in the showroom!!) I will take a pic n post up later...

Good day RASP...! u know, the whole reno is extremely challenging.. the common bath is a real headache! duno to do vanity or just put a wall hung basin... cus u realize the layout is not squarish... mine to HO still faraway... uncle team people said, if u dun chase him, think 2more months also duno can finish anot?? thanks to him, it somehow strike me that i must really chase uncle..

hi pink! didn't see u in ah soon thread for some time...! actually i m more worried of, delayed HO due to rectification of the tiles. PLUS, my neighbours around can't really tolerate renovation noise... ALSO, uncle will LOSE money if he got to hack off everything and relay again... cus the floor tiles are of the same quality so will have the same problem... as a side note, i heard from one of his team people, uncle always do alot of free things until he is not earning much liao... i feel bad cus uncle initially don't want to do the floor tiles as the measurement is 44cmx44cm, now added the stain problem...

hihi actually when the grout line turns black, it is actually if ur tiles are dark colours...only if the tiles are white, then it will be ugly... my contractor told me there are colour powdered grout lines to match your tiles, but more expensive...

The tiles i used for my common toilet is very sensitive to cement... halfway tru, the tiles got stain and now still trying to remove the stains. uncle was told by the tileshop sure can remove... i am keeping fingers crossed. cus the wall tiles cost $15psf!
