hi, i went to mega discount store 2 weeks ago.. when i asked the sale guy whether to choose inverter or non-inverter, he mentioned that if u are a light user(mainly for night use - sleep) den go for the non-inverter.. cos inverter wont save much if u are onli using for the night. (i mean for those bad sale men they will psycho u to buy sys 3/4 with inverter so they can earn more comission).. As for brand, mistubishi, daikin, panasonic and etc are about the same.. maybe if u need the most efficient, cost saving u need to buy the best model(which mean most exp).. but u must noe the objective for yourself, and if u r those calculative one.. do a yearly cal and compare with extra price u are paying.. and provided it works.. we must understand that wear and tear theory and of cos the maintenance we put in.. btw electronic stuff.. is heng suay one.. it might be problematic even if u gt the best brand n model.. water dripping and etc? who noes? I agreed with DSA, google is a veri gd and useful friend.. hehe.. but for now.. aircon is the best friend and invention.. cos it is HOT outside now? But we must oso go to the shops and stores to gain some knowledges from the sale personnels.... cos information provided by the net are veri subjective and might be outdated...

No offence pls... I think that every estate or flats HDB that they built or going to build sure have pros and cons.. i believe that all these cons apply to all other estates and flats as well.. if we are to keep on picking on all these, i don't think anyone of us here/the whole spore can apply flats cos we are too fussy? unless u r rich to afford private estate la.. If bedok central gt so much cons over pros or anything to fuss about.. den i think sengkang, punggol, yishun, sembawang, pasir ris n 3/4 of spore can be ghost towns liao.. Thats y i agree with the new HDB rules against balloting.. cos some the execuses given by us are too way off... Nothing in this world is perfect, we just need to find the balance... again.. no offence to anyone out here.. just my personal thots

Agree on the bulk buy too... but i think its better to choose the shop instead of brand for bulk buy.. cos everyone gt their own preferences. Go to shop and c which types of applicances we want.. oso consider bulk buy ma.. just diff brand nia.. However, if some of u can directly get from suppliers or shops of that brands.. it also possible.. and one thing to take note is that some of us will be taking keys later and different time on reno.. and we will have to ask the shops/warehouse to store the stuffs for us.. i believe not all the shops will do that.. for bigger store they might be able.. and repeated of changing delivery dates might caused fines by the shops(heard from others on this).

Hi, Maybe can try hongliang(heard prices competitive), audio hse, IT fair, GSS to get better prices but from yesterday touring ard.. 3k n below can get 1 42 inch n 32 inch LCD TV (with 1 home theatre set -freebies). If can, may be we can join forces and go to shops like HOng Liang or audio hse n etc to slash prices.. haha.. The more the merrier and powerful... hehe

U going mega discount store? i just went yesterday.. heard is cheaper and i find it not really.. For TV i think is overpriced. 40 inch LCD TV 2k where i went harvey norman 1.7k.. both with free home theatre.. and the 32 inch LCD is the same price for both places. Washing machine quoted 450-499 but if really wan he give us 410.. best denki 450 Fridge quoted 670.. same as besk denki... maybe can still bargain.. so i think beta source more places 1st..

Erm.. currently 3 brands are hot cos they are cheaper compare to Sony bravia and etc: Samsung series bla bla.. but no 42 inch only 40 inch.. but no diff to 42 la.. but samsung brand more exp den LG and Sharp Sharp aquos - take series A, series b or p is old model LG don noe the model.. cos not interested.. haha.. All the 42 inch LCD is ard or less den 2k .. if wait for GSS might be cheaper.. so we shall wait..

Hi Orange, Plasma TV has better image quality(clearer) den LCD but Higher heat distribution, Higher power consumption and short life span(usually cos of the technology is diff) but if u are more comfortable with it.. just go ahead!
