hi all, was at new house today - am pretty surprised that my carpentry works is progressing well! Faster than I thought my carpenter can actually commit! HAPPY! Also, the outcome of the 11 colours!!!! Ha..... Painting started today and will continue tomorrow - we activated our back-up plan for one of the walls!

ha... that would be my backup plan!

hi, i have yet to move into my EM too. We have 2 young boys and no domestic helper. Mon - Our day off with my boys staying with my mother Tue, Wed - Home Thur - Bunk at my mother's place Fri - Home Sat - Bunk at my MIL's place Sun - Home The above would be my rough weekly schedule, I would not like to spend everyday at home doing housework. I want to enjoy the space too! So I guess, laundry is a once a week chore. Sweeping - every 2 days Mopping - once a week toilet - to clean everyday Have seen the show "Perfect Housewife" - ideally can plan where to clean on a weekly basis. Once accomplish, job done. or u may plan to squeeze in a full day to clean. Or get a part-time cleaner on a weekly basis for 4 hours.

wow! u guys have bought a lot of stuff liao hor! aiyah . . . we still haven't really started yet. No sofa, no dining table yet. lao gong very busy recently - even need to work on weekends. if handover end June, i wonder if i will hv enough time to source for suitable furnitures & furnishings or not. ha... he kept saying "take it easy, take it easy"

Walls extending out from living to balcony - lighting box up - wiring done - box up to conceal piping etc Tap point terminated - box up will be done - glass will be installed in our missing corners!

Am super worried! Just went to my bro-in-law new house last night, theirs is simple and nice - with 2 main colours only. Thus I am freaking worried of our excessive colours in the house now

it's useful as it guides you to exactly what colours to use on wall, what colour to use on furnishing for each desired theme.

All ceiling works completed as scheduled! Happy! Getting ready for painting work! we chose in total 11 colours for our unit - getting nervous liao! Dun know how it will turn out to be! keep my fingers crossed!

The Philip wall lights seems a bit pathetic - we dun like it! Will be removing it and will do l-box instead!

hi kanchi, congrats! ave 6 is a nice area! we have wanted to find a nest there. sunset way is along clementi road - in the direction towards ngee ann poly, it's about a 10-15 mins walk from clementi mrt. ya! a lot of nice food! It's always very satisfying to eat in the little jap restaurant there! ha... i do not hv a laundry area in the house. as much as I could, I will wash the clothes on a sunny day if not i will utilize the dryer.

hi kanchi, so yours is either clementi ave 6 or sunset liao I know there are a lot of diff configuration in sunset way itself. basically, the previous owner hacked the wash area, sealed the original kitchen entrance, recreated 2 entry points into the kitchen. so when is your 1st appointment?

Hi pinktini, U can try howard stoarge - my current place do not hv a toilet roll holder too. I bought one that can be hook onto the water tank, it fits nicely beside the tank and very affordable. Can take pic and show you tonight.

YEAH! - s/d be done by tomorrow 4. installation of glass panels & doors for MBR toilet - separating WC & shower (2 individual space to be created) 5. Painting Jobs 6. General washing Carpentry works: 1. Foyer - 2 paintings of buddha to be installed (with metal wire/rope) near front door (as shield) refraining pple fr direct viewing into our unit without blocking lights & ventilation 2. Utility Room Cabinets 3. Kitchen Cabinets 4. Dining Cabinets - centre modified to TV console 5. TV feature wall 6. Mirror wall in living room 7. box up of pipes and flushed wall in living area 8. construct door to living room 9. construct see-thru roofing at opening from stairs overlooking living room 10. MBR wardrobe modofication - change previous work space in wardrobe to wardrobe space Should be able to meet HO bah! I have not even buy anything for living & dining area
