  1. hey purplesky I think you are already doing a great job by trying! well, you can cook those one dish wonder which is easy to prepare and very little cleaning up. There is the baking club in the t-blog, check out the honey-mustard chicken which is very easy to prepare and minimal fuss! Also can cook pasta either white sauce or tomato sauce base. What I do for storage is after I buy the meat for example, I will divide it onto smaller portions in ziploc bags then freeze those I'm not using yet. For me, I work so i only cook some nights on weekdays so food storage is very important for me, else I will be throwing out a lot of food which is a waste Actually the fact that your hubby eats is already very good lor... Sorry JandG, riding on your t-blog! We recently stocked up some salmon belly and smoked salmon from fassler. Nice place for fresh and yummy salmon!
  2. Hahaha... yes!!! Curtains for privacy!!! and i think curtains add a soft touch to the house. Warm and cosy which I like. But seriously, can't see much.. only the ceiling and the lights and only if you are at the windows!
  3. Oh.. I didn't know about BD... Paiseh!!! TUAbaby can vouch for me that i'm blur blur! cloth from Spotlight during their sale... my current roman blind from ikea... cheap cheap one cos i wanted to use their mechanism and sew on new cloth on them...
  4. haha.. and the three men immediately defended my prev post! Anyway, SuperSimon27, I'm so impressed with your DIY blinds!!! We bought cloth for my DIY roman blinds but haven't got round to it!!! Wonder when it will be done... else it will be $$$ wasted!
  5. hahaha.. the t-blog became a men's chatroom?!?!?!
  6. thank you thank you.. i can't think of designs only know how to copy... maybe i'll will make a good pirate! but the icing was so much fun.
  7. Baked some carrot cupcakes for a friend's birthday last night. 1st time doing the icing which was a bit messy but very fun. Got a tip from one of the forumer's posting here and watch youtube on how icing is done! My first cupcake attempt
  8. WOW... YUMMY YUMMY.. make me so so hungry!!!!! oh... i also need tips on the crust.. so for now i just use the my chicken pie filling with bread or biscuit! cos i just love the creamy white sauce!
  9. We got our cellini set from Rose at Park Mall. She's very patient! It took us many visits before we finally bought our set from her and she was not at all pushy despite we went there so many times just to browse the furniture. My husband (tuababy) even has her hp number in case we need any information or help which we did and she never failed to help us in ways she can.
  10. can't wait to try them out.. but have to finish my brownies 1st! Brought them to work to share the calories around.. This weekend feel like trying chocolate cheesecake from Joyofbaking!
  11. Hi JandG Love your island. We wanted to build one that extends to the dining area but gave up the idea due to appliance placement contraints. Looking forward to see the completed cute island!
  12. Looks really good! can see the ice-cream melting over the brownie! Heavenly! is this the recipe that you gave me for fudgy brownies?
  13. Yup, agree with Ivy. The wavy effect can be reduced significantly if you use thicker laminates. FOMICA has the 2mm ones which are good in my opinion. we use them for our kitchen... The issue i have with glossy cabinets is that it leaves a lot of fingerprints on it!
  14. orh... i try to believe you ah.. we only go to the next block (25th floor) and we saw the roof of your block.... that's how advanturous we are only! View is good from there and super windy.. For us... windy only along the corridor like i mentioned in SK forum.. hopefully the wind will change direction soon and come from the other side!
  15. thot u kopi shop... only like kaya and toast!
