  1. Hi, you got this contractor thru referrals or ? Who's the AM and PM? Yours is at which branch? Vista?
  2. front and central..i've got not much knowledge..it really depends on ur preferances and budget..i guess as long as they are less than $10 per meter it should be ok..anyway...front and centre cables will not be too long also unless ur receiver is far away or ur speakers are far away from TV etc..my front and centre are provided by KEC since i asked for installation service..told them i had surround cables already.. for the surround cables length..measure the distance where u want to run them...then perhaps add 1 meter more to it..i added 2 meters start and end point..any extras and u can hide inside ur false ceiling..they are easy to terminate if u have a pair of cutters..u can get the shop to show u how to do the terminations..
  3. Hi, you can get the cables first with the exposed wires tape up to prevent oxidisation( spelling?). When you got the speakers and receivers you can decide on the type of connections u need.. I bought spares banana plugs just in case and after buying my receiver and speakers, they were not needed..
  4. Hi, I think is 4-6 bucks per meter..forgot abt it..paid 80 bucks together with 8pcs of banana plugs..belden 1309 i think or another 13xx...anyway the shop mentioned since it's for surround, no need to be too thick..
  5. hi..nope...i'm not Didi in diguise..though my nick close to him.. yup..i laid my surround cables first before doing the false ceiling..i went to purchase surround cables myself...belden 1309 i think..can be bought at LHS shop in Sim Lim Tower..
  6. Hey, couldn't wait till next wed for installation so just did a self-collect on my speakers and receiver(Onkyo) from KEC today..fixed up my 3.0 speakers and played them with HD starhub..better than sound from TV..gonna try on Bluray tml..next wed they will come and do up the rear speakers and deliver my Velo CHT-8Q..can't wait.. That makes us trio of Liverpool fans..I think Torres would do fine alone with support coming from the back..we don need another 'Crouch'...Just get a good support striker in case Torres is not playing..
  7. yah..i don think i can hear the different anyway...i don even know what terms they are using...warm tones??..i need the 'omph'..'wow' factor when watching movies anyway..haha..stupid me..currently using a Pana BD-60, Pana G11 42" plasma....watching blu-ray on screen with sound from the tv speaker is good if you are watching at night...more quiet surroundings..
  8. Hey, thanks on the comparision..true on the "your wallet agrees with your ear" thing...but audition at demo room and own house is different..we don have the luxury of having carpeted floor, closed room etc..hmm...dillemma...ha..anyway...think will check on the price and configurations to see the best value for $$..
  9. hihi guys..i've just ordered a Def Pro 600 together with a CHT-8Q along with a onkyo 507..this is for my living room...do you think i should upgrade my only centre to ProCentre 1000? or should i get Pro 800 instead and downgrade my surround to Pro 600 with the remaining items remain? I have not collected the items yet due next week..difference between a Pro 600 sys and a Pro 800 sys is $600..thanks..
  10. Hi, price is without AVR...Onkyo 507 was quoted 499, Def Tech pro 600 or 60, can't rem was $1280.
  11. Hi...depending on how many lights u want. Mine was $225 for 3 lights for the 48" Airvac..
  12. Hey, how much are you getting for Pro 800 and the velodyne? Which model of velodyne u getting? Thanks...I'm planning to get Pro600 with the default sub..quoted 1280..thanks..
